We were met on the pier by the first mate, a friendly Irishman, and the wait wasn't long. The boat was clean and seemed new. The window (glass bottom) was large and clear. There was room for everyone and we didn't feel squashed, and furthermore there was no bad seat in the house. I believe the top is covered, so we didn't have to worry about sunburn. The captain, a young good-looking fellow, was friendly and seemed to be a competent captain, fluent in both English and Dutch. We quickly left the harbor and went to reefs that were free of debris, healthy-looking, teeming with fish. Upon sighting a sea turtle, the boat was steered to follow it so everyone could get a good look. We saw a few of them. We used cards to see many different kinds of fish, although alas there are no sharks in these waters, according to the first mate. When we approached Klein Bonaire, the smaller island, we were treated to flamingos, and even saw them in flight. Near the end of the tour, bottles of water were passed, a welcome surprise. The captain, as well as the first mate, explained many things about Bonaire and the reefs, so it was like a sight-seeing tour as well as peering underwater. In all, a very nice, relaxing yet informative trip, worth the money, definitely recommended for anyone.
