Review of: Dinner at sea
Today we had a dinner cruise at the compass and it was excellent! Wim and Marian were the best hosts. Very friendly and funny and everything was just as enjoyable. There was a good wind so the sailing was just fantastic. Due to the silence on the island in the current situation it gave it just this extra special feeling of enjoying something so privately. Food was also excellent, Marian is a good cook!

I was worried since we were on a cruise ship with a short time frame in port 7 am-1 pm that we might not make it back to the ship in a timely fashion especially since our meet time wasn't until 845. However Wim assured me no problem when we disembarked and met him and I voiced my concerns. And sure enough it was not a problem. I was especially glad we chose Compass when I saw the cruise ship passengers being herded onto a much smaller boat for their snorkel tour. Our snorkel was on board a lovely masted sail boat with just 14 passengers. We took a party bus on a quick five minute trip to the marina. From there we left our shoes in a box before we boarded our sail boat. The two female crew ( sorry I don't remember their names) served us delicious mango juice. We sailed for an hour before we dropped anchor close to shore to snorkel. The snorkeling was amazing. We had 45 minutes in the water which was plenty of time to see an incredible underwater world. Visibility was great. The water was comfortable. Marine life was abundant and seemed to be undisturbed swimming in slow motion so I got lots of photos. We even saw sea turtles ! I could have spent hours in the water. On the return journey travel was more by motor than sail and we were back at the marina by noon. En route back to the marina the crew served little plates of melon, tuna wrap and Brie and mango rum ( amazing). We were back at the port by 1215 and there were huge lines to get back on board so we had plenty of time. An incredible experience- too bad it couldn't have been all day

We first went on the sunset cruise and just loved it so we booked the full day at the park. All I can say it was amazing and we're going to do this several times during our next trip to Bonaire. The crew was outstanding, friendly, very attentive and you were treated like royalty. The food was superb! Breakfast consisted of several meats, cheeses, breads and fresh fruit, very nice. For lunch we had shrimp skewers, steak, chicken satay and numerous salads that were all freshly prepared and simply delicious. Afterwards, we had tapas throughout the afternoon that were very good. While at the park, we had a guided snorkel with Maryann and she was fantastic! I think she's part fish the way she free dove down to point out stuff. The day was soooo relaxing, fun, and enjoyable! After the park, we headed back and enjoyed the sunset. The captain, Wim, was incredible and we had so much fun with him. He's a character and you'll surely have a great time with him. We've been on a lot of day cruises and this is by far the BEST ever! I can't wait to go again and a special thank you to Wim and Maryann for making our day so wonderful!!!

Amazing Sail along the coast, great snorkel experience, and wonderful dinner. Highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting Bonaire!! The staff is wonderful and you will never forget the experience. They have a great snorkeling location and the dinner aboard the sailboat was comfortable and yummy. Be sure to book first...I would have loved to been able to experience their other events. Amazing value...don't quite know how they do it but certainly treasure their gift of service.
