We had eight divers with varied levels of experience. VIP Dive scheduled us to dive together on the Donkey. Although it was a bit crowded, the Captain and staff made this a thoroughly enjoyable trip. Fresh fruit and cookies awaited us after all three dives. Good briefing before each dive. Highly rated!

My wife and I were planning to visit Bonaire for our first time, arriving on a a cruise. I wanted to dive, though my wife doesn’t dive, so I went looking for a dive outfit that was willing and able to accommodate my diving while my wife snorkeled. I contacted Sea Donkey, and spoke with Tracey, one of the owners. She was very willing to work with us on our needs, which included picking us up from the cruise port. On the morning of our arrival she was right where she told us she would be when we got off the ship. She drove us to the dock, where we met her dive master, Raul, who was extremely friendly and helpful with our gear. My wife and I were joined by another couple, and a woman diving solo before heading out. We dove Barkadera and (I think) Small Wall, which were both great sites. Tracey and Raul were both very personable, and a wealth of information about both the diving, and the island itself. Tracey’s tale of how Sea Donkey was transformed from a Maine lobster boat into her current glory as a dive boat is great! Raul was a perfect combination of being focused on his job, and being friendly and chatty. We will definitely be joining Sea Donkey for more diving the next time we’re in Bonaire!

If you want to go Boat Diving while on Bonaire, this is the one to go to!!! VIP Diving organised the trip for us, but Tracy (Captain) and her husband run their own business. The Sea Donkey is a historic crab fishing boat with an interesting story. Nowadays, it's also a fantastic dive boat for small groups. We were the only 2 divers with Tracy and our dive guide Raúl with whom we spent a great morning out on and in the water. They both knew a lot about the dive sites and with our preferences in mind, they chose Sampler and Monk's Haven for us. At the latter we were lucky enough to see a beautiful Spotted Eagle Ray from up close, and also a huge Green Moray Eel swimming by. The boat is very clean and organised, it also has a safety stop air supply and a fresh water shower (a hose ;) ). In between dives Tracy offered cookies and oranges as well as beverages and a lovely chat. Thank you for a wonderful time, 100% recommended!!!

VIP Diving arranged for a group of 5 new divers to go out on the Sea Donkey for two dives. Tracy, the Captain, was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful throughout our dive. Love the history of the Sea Donkey and appreciated the amazing cookies she shared with us after each dive. We'll work with both VIP Diving and The Sea Donkey on our next trip!
