Claudia and her family have found a piece of heaven here in Barbados. Incredibly welcoming, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. So helpful to us and always with a smile. The surf lessons were brilliant- all delivered calmly and with a distinct Bajan charm and truly EXCELLENT with our children. We learnt a lot from Junior and his team- we would love to come back and learn more! Highly recommend

I spent a fantastic week here in January learning to surf. Excellent instruction from Junior and the team got me standing up on day one! Zed's has a wonderful relaxed and friendly vibe, but is within easy reach of Oistins for an evening out. The staff also helped me with airport transfers and hiring a car for day to travel around the island. Great place - highly recommended :-)

I almost don't want to write this review, because I don't want anyone else to know about our favourite place to travel. There is a charm to Surfer's Point that is difficult to describe: friendly people, a laid back atmosphere, clean and comfy apartments, and awesome guests bring an authenticity to this surfing experience that would be difficult (maybe impossible?) to find anywhere else. Do NOT come here if you are a resort junkie who wants to be waited on hand and foot by an army of workers who provide you the same cookie cutter experience you can get on any island. ABSOLUTELY come here if you want an incredible, genuine Barbados experience you will never forget. If you are worried about learning to surf.... don't! Junior and the guys will have you up on your board the first day that you are in the water. They are patient and kind with all of their surfers. You feel safe and well supervised the entire time you are in the ocean. From the moment that you first contact Claudia or Joe to make your reservation, to that sad hour that you load up the car to head back to the airport and fly home, you feel like you are part of a community. You never feel like a number and the team at Zed's tailor your vacation to fit your family or group to make sure you have the absolute best Barbados experience. There is a personal touch that we haven't found anywhere else in all our years of travel (and we have travelled a lot). As a family with young children, we have returned to Zed's twice, and I recently convinced a group of my "50 something" girlfriends to join me for a week of surfing at Zed's. Every vacation has been nothing less than magical. Out of the five stars I could possibly give a Tripadvisor review, Zed's and Surfer's Point get ten.

Part of me was to keep Zeds a secret, but I won't. It's is a piece of heaven on earth. The island, the guest house, the staff, the surroundings, the surf and most importantly the people are what complete this package. If you are looking for pure decadence, luxury, and butler-like service this is not the place for you. However, if you are looking to immerse yourself into the surf culture, enjoy breathtaking views whilst staying in eclectic, and unique guesthouse that is charming, well-appointed and managed by the most accommodating and kind staff, led by Claudia Layson (co-owner, wife, mother, surfer and friend)...this is your spot! If your looking for lessons, once again you will not find instructions more qualified and competent on the island...I trusted Junior with not only myself, my friends and even my two young boys, who were instantly inspired and now love surfing and count the days when we can once again get back to Barbados! Zed’s makes my heart happy, you won't regret it, see for your yourself!

What an amazing experience! With wonderful instructors, Junior (one of many instructors) makes learning the new sport so much easier. Zeds is a great place for people who are new to the sport of for people who are trying to improve their surfing skills. What a mellow place with great vibes, there really isn’t anything like it. We visit every year and will continue to for years to come.
