About
The Stylish & comfortable Shasa catamarans cater specifically to small groups of 10 or less where the emphasis is definitely on personalized service in a friendly, laid-back atmosphere. At 30 feet ,Shasa carries just 8 passengers, & Shasa II measuring 38 feet carries a maximum of 10. With more than 20 years sailing experience, Captain Jason O'Neal has a richly deserved reputation with all his guests, with many of them returning to sail on the Shasa catamarans time & time again. Based in Holetown, we offer free transportation to and from the cruise terminal, South and west coasts. Once on board, you’ll be supplied with masks, snorkels and flotation devices, and for those less confident in the water, snorkeling instruction is available from Captain Jason or a member of the Shasa crew. A range of complimentary drinks will be served throughout your day. Homemade banana bread is served on our snorkel cruises and white wine is offered with lunch on our 5 hour cruise.

Our family did a private morning sail on Shasa, sailed by the friendly and very knowledgeable captain Jason, assisted by Tee. After a snorkel near our launch point, where we saw many fish and rays, we sailed the coastline. Jason was great at pointing out features and was very knowledgeable about the various resorts and villas that we sailed past. Shasa was good in the relatively light winds, and under breezier conditions really came into her own. A proper sailing cat! We all had great fun and it was definitely a highlight of our stay on Barbados. Thank you Jason and Tee. Would thoroughly recommend as a top experience.

Yesterday we were lucky enough to spend the afternoon aboard Shasa 2 with Jason and Jacob. We booked a 3 hour private hire which was the perfect way to celebrate my mother’s birthday.
We were welcomed on board and offered a variety of drinks including top notch rum punch. We headed up the West Coast and Jason pointed out lots of points of interest along the coastline. We stopped off at Port Ferdinand for a snorkel on the man made reef and Jacob acted as a fab guide and life guard. We jumped back on board to more drinks to sail down to Holetown to swim with the turtles and watch the sunset.
We had a fabulous afternoon onboard and would highly recommend Jason and Catamaran Cruises to anyone visiting Barbados. Thank you Jason and team- we will be back!

We were recommended this by the proprietor of the lovely Sea Cat restaurant, and Jason didn’t let us down. On request he took us out on the catamaran to explore the West Coast of Barbados and watch the sunset for one our birthdays. We swam with some very friendly turtles, which was probably the best bit, and he was able to give us some info on local sights and historical points of interest. A great trip.

My spouse, two rambunctious boys and my elderly mother spent the most wonderful five hours with Jason and T on the catamaran. They were the perfect hosts accommodating the disparate needs of our party. The boys had been dubious about being on a catamaran having preferred a speed boat but in the end informed us that it was the best day of our stay.

We selected the 5 hour turtle, snorkelling and lunch cruise which was perfect. Captain Jason (the owner of the two Shasa catmarans) and his assistant Tee were very accommodating and we could not have asked for more. We had the Shasa II boat which accomodates 10 passengers, though our group of 5 had the boat to ourselves. We had looked at bigger boats but the Shasa was the best choice we could have made as the experience was much more personal and intimate. Nothing was too much trouble, we had one member of our group who has poor eyesight and she was given every assistance to get on and off the boat, as was the poor swimmer in our party who was provided with a flotation aid. The highlight of the trip was swimming with turtles and being able to be alongside these magnificent creatures will stay with me forever. We also saw stingrays and masses of brightly coloured fish over the shipwreck where you can snorkel. The lunch was collected during the trip and was a great spread of fish, chicken, mac pie, salad, with complimentary drinks throughout the cruise ranging from beer, to wine and of course rum punch with soft drinks too. A nice sail along the coast complimented the activities and we spotted flying fish along the way.
Choose Shasa and you will not be disappointed, the location at Holetown beach means you do not have to travel all the way to Bridgetown to join the cruise, a bonus if you are staying on the north west coast (Mullins, Speightstown etc).

We had a fantastic afternoon on a 3hr sunset cruise. Every little detail was perfect from the company to the views to the sunset to the flow of drinks. If you want a more personalised catamarran trip than the bigger boats, then this is most definitely the company to go with. Captain Jason and his crew come highly recommended.

We had a wonderful 5 hour lunch cruise with Capt. Jason & First Mate Johnathon. We sailed north up the west coast, snorkeled with the sea turtles & over a reef. It was the first time my wife had snorkeled & she was ably assisted by Johnathon. Lunch was really good with fried fish, chicken, rice, pasta, salad, slaw, pound cake, etc. Of course, the plantation punch was quite tasty. My wife & I were joined by two other couple friends & a younger couple from Toronto, Canada. It was a wonderful day on the water. We highly recommend Shasa Catamaran Cruises.

Our holiday are always full of exciting things to do. The family (9 of us) votes at the end of the holiday ranking each day. The day on Shasa, with great captain/crew, fantastic lunch, many rum punches and beers and the best snorkelling with Turtles in a very quiet location, was ranked first place by every one of us. Brilliant.

Spent a amazing four hours private hire on the Shasa. We got married in the morning and spent the afternoon as a family having this brilliant time on the catamaran.
Jason and Tee were great company and done a awesome job of looking after us.
Picked up on the beach then went sailing up the coast to snorkel with turtles. Tee got in the water with us to show us the turtles.
Sailed down the coast, plenty of refreshments if you wanted them, sat on the front listening to music while the sun was shining away.
We moored up and the most delicious lunch of fish, chicken, salads and a rum cake. Arguably one of the best meals we had for the two weeks we were in Barbados.
We then sailed to a shipwreck for more snorkelling, where colourful fish were in abundance and continued snorkelling along a reef with Tee as our guide.
Sadly our time came to an end we were dropped off back at the Beach. Just brilliant. My nine year old daughter's face was beaming the whole trip and said "it was better than she could of ever imagined".
Will be booking up again when we return to Barbados

Does your 3 hour cruise go to the shipwreck as well as the turtles?

Hi there
We go to the shipwreck or the coral reef.
It mostly depends on the traffic on the day as we like our guests to snorkel in an uncrowded atmosphere.
