Absolutely awful due to the insane seaweed problem. The entire beach is essentially unusable as the water is packed deep with it from shore to about 1/2km out) and the entire shore of the beach is under about more than a foot of rotting seaweed.

The title of the review says it all. On our visit in April it looked dirty, inhabitable, abundant by sargassum seaweed. Sorry, but it is what it is.

This large expanse of sandy beach is secluded. Visitors can gain access by way of the Crane Resort, as guests or by a public walking path. This appears to be a large beach which has been saved from erosion. However, the day my wife and...More

We went here with teens for the waves and were not disappointed. The are high and relentless. Very soft bottom with no rocks but TONS of seaweed. Other visitors said there was no seaweed a few days prior but during our visit there was several...More

Beautiful beach in an beautiful location, however, better call or ask locals before you go. We left Bridgetown by bus to visit the crane beach and it was not so pleasant! The beach was full of sea weed, shore and water completely brown, impossible even...More

It may have been due to the rough seas just before we visted, however the Beach seemed much smaller than thr Photo's. Or it could be clever photo work. Only bothered with quick walk on beach & than left.

This beach may not be for everyone. The public access will be difficult for anyone who is not sure on his/her feet. I can see families with small children and elderly having a very difficult time navigating the stone path-especially at high tide. The chairs...More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Crane and instantly relaxed and felt at home at this classy resort. The location is good, away from the action so quiet and relaxed but within striking distance of the many restaurants and beaches - providing you have...More

About half an hour by car or a couple of hours by bus with transfers and such. if you don't have a car you are probably better off arranging for a taxi with your hotel.
