After a wonderful week at The Crane we were shocked when receiving our bill and seeing over a 950 BD charge for a couples treatment we received a few days earlier at the spa. All items on the resort are listed in Barbados dollars except The Spa which for some reason is listed in US dollars and only indicated on the treatment list once on the very first page. It would have been nice if the receptionist would have informed us of the price prior to booking because what we received was not worth almost $600 US.

Thought about getting my best friend the opportunity to visit Serenity Spa for her birthday & wow it was indeed an amazing experience for her. It all started when the idea to do a spa treatment for her came up & I was provided with a gift certificate by Crescita the spa receptionist, she was very courteous & knowledgeable about the treatments. Keep up the wonderful service & attention to details. My friend said that it was very relaxing & was taken away for a moment in another world because of that magnificent feeling of relaxation, thanks alot for providing that experience will definitely recommend it to others, truly appreciate that memorable experience provided.

My husband and I treated ourselves to pedicures. He is a mechanic and I've never seen his toenails and feet look as good as they did after his treatment. With its cliff-top location by the Crane's famous pool, the spa is in the perfect spot. So breezy with its huge open windows in the lobby and serene through and through. We sat together in best massage chairs I've ever been in and I appreciated the time the spa technician took to adjust my seat (since I'm short) and explain how to change to a different type of massage. They were both professional yet engaging. It was a totally enjoyable experience for both of us.

The spa called up to the room to say the therapist was not
Available that day . I said “ ok”, we still want to have the package booked and I will check with my husband to see if “ Thursday “ worked for him to have a massage with the therapist I requested .
She was only available on Thursday . I said I would need to check with him since we were getting the package on Friday , if he wanted to book another massage on Thursday .
I understand , this was a miscommunication . Your email was out of line and not very “ customer friendly “ since we spent thousands of $$ on this trip
And wanted to enjoy our last day together at the “spa” , which was the only day available for that package . We waited 4, yes four days, for our 3 hour special time for this and was saddened that it was cancelled. We booked this service on Monday , and when we had the 60 minute massage on Wednesday , I asked if my therapist was available on Friday for our package . So , cancelling this spa package is not ok . Also, if you could not have reached us by phone or never left a message how would we have known you were trying to reach out to us. In the future, my suggestion is to deliver a message to the room and verify if your department has a concern of a customer not confirming an appointment. Keep in mind we are at a resort that we are using during the day that we wouldn’t be in our room during your working hours. I feel bad for other customers that this happens to and they Find out that their long awaited spa treatment as a Hilton grand Vacation owner was not available because of communication issues with what we expected for such a great resort as the Crane.

Amazing deep tissue massage from Abigail! She worked out the kinks after arrival on the island so I could relax and enjoy. Highly recommend Serenity Spa and especially Abigail!

I expected more from this spa because of its location, The Crane Resort. Having been to quite a few spas I obviously compare everything from the welcome I receive. I wasn't welcomed when I got to the spa. The welcome should set the tone for whatever else is to come. As I was leaving the receptionist told me it was a busy day so may be that's why I was not welcomed - that's the conclusion I came to. She did however inquire as to whether I enjoyed my treatments when I was making my payment.
The treatment rooms are the best I've seen so far because they are like studio hotel rooms with a sitting area. This has a rug, chair, lamps, tables and is very cosy and comfortable. The treatment room also has a full bathroom with shower and tub.
There's no relaxation room but I'm not sure if you are early if you would be allowed to go into the treatment room to relax.
I had 3 treatments - a hot stone body massage, a facial and a pedicure. That was my first hot stone massage so I have nothing to compare it to, but the massage of itself was ordinary. The facial was good. The pedicure could have been better because I have many to compare to in this area. I was shocked at the treatment room for the manis and pedis; I expected more. It was small and ordinary. Also there are no pedicure thrones. They use ceramic bowls not even the powered pedi machines.
I was offered a glass of wine but there was no nonalcoholic option which in this day and age is not acceptable. Many people do not and cannot drink alcohol for various reasons and the management should have made provisions for that.
I did receive a parting gift of a scented candle since it was a special occasion. I also enjoyed my conversation with the young lady who did my treatments.
