The cruise was amazing in all aspects. The company is very professional, the crew were thoroughly trained noth in meeting the customers’ expectations and doing so in a very safe environment. The catamaran was very smooth and the snorkeling well managed. If I had to find a do-better, I would advise against serving lunch in transit. (At least not salad with lettuce which tends to blow around 😊)
Highly recommend it.

We booked a Tiami cruise whilst on holiday in Barbados. We went for the 5 star lunch cruise which was 100USD each. This includes transfers to/from, all drinks, food and obviously the boat and associated activities.
The boat we sailed on was very clean and perfectly suited to the trip. There was enough seating for everyone and it didn’t feel too cramped. The staff were brilliant - Dexter was our captain and him and his crew were friendly and enthusiastic.
We got on the boat about 930ish and came back into port at around 2. We felt it was a good amount of time but could have stayed on it all day !! The bar was open and well stocked - everything is included and I definitely had something close to 100USD in rum punch alone!
We felt the atmosphere was the right mix of party boat / sailing trip. There were lots of families and couples of all ages. The music was great and it really set the scene whilst lying on the netted area at the front of the boat.
The snorkelling was really fun and we saw lots of fish , a ship wreck and turtles! I found that the snorkelling mask provided kept misting / steaming up so I would recommend taking your own if you have them. This was disappointing and the only thing I could fault about the trip.
The lunch food was lovely with fish, chicken and more than one salad mixes with accompaniments.
There are several tour operators in Barbados operating what is essentially the same trip for various budgets etc. Don’t overthink it - if you choose Tiami you will have a great time.

The crew at Tiami Catamaran Cruises were the best as they made our Holland America Sponsored excursion the absolute best we've ever been on! We sailed with the Excellence II crew: Dale, Rudianna, Jahmali, and Jamari and their professionalism, positive energy, and guidance absolutely saved this cruise for us! They entertained while we rode out to two great snorkeling spots, anchored at a beautiful beach for an hour and let everyone dive off the sides of the catamaran while swimming which really was a joy for the kids and us adults alike, and they served us an incredible buffet style lunch while we cruises around the island and Dale pointed out local sight seeing spots and kept us laughing with his humor.
This crew really did save our cruise for us as we had had a disappointing first couple of days but Dale, Rudi, Jahmali, and Jamari welcomed everyone to Barbados with more than open arms. We ABSOLUTELY will be back to Barbados to do this EXACT same trip once again! Kudos to ALL of the Tiami staff for their professionalism!

A catamaran cruise in the Caribbean is always going to be nice, but I was a little underwhelmed with this trip.
Firstly the good points…the catamaran was in good condition, clean, had plenty of seating, and was a good size for the number of people on board. The staff were lovely, and attentive. There was a good choice of drinks. The food was good (although see below).
On the negative side, we didn’t cover much distance, and moved very slowly. We went to Carlisle Bay first, snorkelled over a wreck and saw a small turtle. A few people saw a ray. Then we were told that the sea was too rough to go up the west coast so we would head on to the south coast. We sailed the very short distance to Accra Beach and anchored up for another swim (too far to get to the shore and there were jelly fish so no-one stayed in the water long). We stayed there for lunch before motoring back home at a snail’s pace. We didn’t see much of the coastline.
Another Tiami catamaran did the same short trip as us, but at least they sailed and tacked most of the way home, whereas we motored slowly in a straight line. We were very disappointed about that. It couldn’t really be called a sailing trip. Maybe our crew just couldn’t be bothered to put the sails up?
I’m also a bit sceptical about the weather conditions being poor up the west coast - the other catamaran operators must have gone that way because we saw them at Carlisle Bay but they didn’t go south from there like us.
One last point….I am dairy intolerant. I booked through our hotel, who said that if I emailed Tiami they should be able to cater for me. However, Tiami’s response was that they don’t cater for special dietary requirements (their words). They have a standard menu, which they did email to me, but couldn’t/wouldn’t tell me if it contained dairy. Their only solution was that I take my own food! The cruise wasn’t cheap, so I would have expected a reputable company to be better prepared and more helpful. I wouldn’t have booked with them if I’d known this, but I’d already paid a deposit.

If you want to sit on a boat and drink rum, this is your excursion.
We bought a turtle swimming and beach break tour. Rurtle swimming was 15 minutes and never sit on a beach. Instead a 2.5 hour boat trip with a guide who tells you anything ( expensive restaurants and hotels) about the island, not. It was a waist of my time and next time i will visit a beach on ky own.

What a special day! 8 of us booked this cruise for the day. Picked up & dropped off with a little history tour on route . The crew were amazing, attentive & snorkels with us, we went snorkelling to see the ship wreck, turtles & sting rays. An Exceptional lunch was included. & cocktails & drinks all day. A jet ski hire or ride was optional while moored up by another company that came to the catamaran.
We Would all go again & cant recommend this cruise or cruise company enough!

We had been on vacation in Barbados for 2 weeks by the time we went on the Tiami Sunset Cruise. As a group of 6, we all agreed this was the highlight of our holiday. The Captain Curtis was warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the island. The rest of his staff were super attentive and fun. If you enjoy snorkeling, the sea, sunsets, drinks and purely good vibes, I would highly recommend. (Good for all ages).

We had a great experience with Tiami. We booked privately even though we were on a Norwegian cruise, Norwegian offered the Tiami trip but said it was fully booked so we booked privately. I don’t know if this meant that our day was different than the one we would have had if we had booked with the cruise line but I can say that our day was wonderful. The crew were great, they had good knowledge and were happy to chat about the island, it’s history and it’s people, the snorkelling was really good, at no stage were you hurried and we noticed the crew were very kind and helpful towards the inexperienced swimmers and snorkelers. The food was good and so was the rum punch. We would strongly recommend this trip.

What a fabulous day! We booked a catamaran last minute for use on a private basis.
Our crew, Captain Sam, Justin & Drew were the best!!
Sam made sure we had the best views whilst Justin gave us all the history and facts of the sights whilst we were sailing along the shore & Drew even brought his drone to get those unexpected special shots!
We got to swim with the turtles, eagle rays and loads of fish!
We saw the shipwrecks and got to explore them without the hassle of crowds.
The crew played music for us and the drinks were plentiful, especially the rum!
The food was delicious and far better than expected!
I’m sure this day would have been amazing with a group however as a private charter it was outstanding and allowed us to end the day with exceptional memories that we will never forget!

we booked the turtle and snorkelling catamaran cruise. Our party was my wife and I and our two daughters (13&7). After an initial panic after getting our pick up time lost in translation, we were collected from the hotel over the road from our villa, by a friendly and courteous driver who took us along with other guests to Bridgetown to meet our boat and crew. Check in was smooth, but its worth noting that you should do your waiver prior as to save some time at check in. we boarded our boat and set off. The crew were lively and friendly and were more than happy to help you with anything. The weather in Barbados was somewhat unpredictable whilst we were there, but on this trip we lucked out with a day of unbroken sunshine. all drinks, including, alcohol, water and soft drinks where flowing from the get go and before long we made our stop to snorkel with the turtles. To be fair and after reading other reviews our expectations where high that we would see turtles, and we did, but unfortunately it was only the one, but none the less we did see it and it was wonderful. After about a 40minute stop we climbed aboard and off to the next stop to swim in the coral and look at the fish, which were beautiful and in abundance and this stop also allowed guests to jump and dive in from the boat which i think my children enjoyed the most. Back on board after about another 40mins the crew served lunch, which we thought was of really good quality, including fresh fish, chicken, rice, salad and slices of cake for desert, all washed down with drinks from the all day open bar. It has to be said that i did read some reviews from previous travellers who said that they felt this was a waste of money, however i would strongly disagree, Barbados at present is so expensive, but we felt this trip, and what you got with it really really represented good value for money.

Hi, I am curious how many they allow on this excursion? We see it is an option for our Celebrity cruise in early December but we don't like the 40 people on a boat excursion. Thank you so much

We had about 20 on ours which was a perfect number. Some of the cruises we passed were packed. Just check numbers when you book . The crew were fantastic and boat huge

One person has mobility issues. He would not do the snorkeling, etc. How difficult for him to get on and off the ship at the dock?

Just like the other answers the crew was great, we had older folks on our cruise with mobility issues and they didn’t snorkel but enjoyed the day out and the sun. They will accommodate them to make it a joy.

What is the name of the beach we would be visiting? Have done excursion in past and want to make sure it’s the same one.

We went up as far as speightstown and we also stopped over near holetown ...and we stopped over the shipwreck that was really nice....I don’t think you will be disappointed they run cruises all the time so are very knowledgable on the island and will take you to all the best places...
The crew are great..very experienced and friendly..and the food is great....😎

I am thinking about booking this tour. Do they feed the turtles to bring them in or do you just happen to see them? I saw a video where the turtles were being fed.

They did not feed them on our trip. Beware if the weather is windy, you will likely not go to the primary turtle area due to larger waves and murky water conditions. This happened to us. Their backup area is pretty bleak on the bottom and is crowded with other boats trying to see the 2 turtles resting on the bottom. I would not go if the winds are up.

I am not the best with boats but would really love to do a Catmaran trip during my stay next week. This one seems to be very good. I just wondered how rough the sea typically is. I realise it depends on weather conditions but the pictures all look very calm and I probably could manage if it wasn't too rocky.

It is a nice size vessel. you should be ok. They don't go out far enough to cause sea sickness.
It is a bit of a PARTY boat. so after snorkeling expect the music to get loud and some guests to over partake on the rum punch. The was far more discouraging for me than the ride itself

I walk with a cane and cannot do steep stairs or ladders. Is this catamaran equipped for the handicapped ?
John B
Liverpool, UK324 contributions
There are steps and a slight incline when boarding the boat. The crew are very good at assisting. My wife walks with a single crutch and she managed it. When on board it is all on the flat although there are steep steps to go to the toilet.
Hope that this answers your question. Regards
