The parliament buildings house the Barbados National Heroes Gallery and the Museum of the Parliament, both worth a visit if you want to get some deeper knowledge of this fascinating nation which is more than beaches and good rum.

Great day out, walking around Bridgetown & seeing the sites. Beware of beggars & hustlers......but in all fairness, if you say No, they are always polite & say OK then have a good day!

I visited Barbados in the 1980s and wanted to take my family to show them what a beautiful and friendly island it was with a beautiful capital. How things change in 30 years!! I simply couldn't believe how busy and congested Bridgetown has become with almost constant traffic jams, and almost nowhere to park cars. When you finally do get... More

It is great to see how well preserved these building are. A lot of small islands let their architecture go to pot, but the Bajans seem justly proud of theirs.

The parliament is one of the nicest buildings in the island. The place is architecturally interesting, and has high historic relevance, not only for Barbados, but for the whole Caribbean. Definitively worth a visit!

Small but very good museum on one side of the building - did not see parliament itself. Nice to read history from a local perspective. Just enough to occupy 30 to 45 mins. Barbados gearing up to celebrate 50 years of independence in November 2016
