Well organized tour giving insights into history of production of rum. Not so much about the production technology. Actually you get to see 7 mins movie and than you are tasting different kinds of Mount Gay Rum. The guide was funny and made the tasting interesting and entertaining. At the end you get to see the actual the bottling production... More

Despite some of the other reviews, this was a fun and informative tour. No, they don't make the rum there but they offer a movie, the history of Mount Gay and give you many samples. A short but fun time.

What a great time at the cocktail tour. I love rum and to be able to learn about this rum, it's history, and to taste their rums was amazing. To add to that, the cocktail making challenge was just loads of fun. You could interact with everyone else that was there and just have a great time. Definitely worth doing.

Shame that the bottling plant wasn't working, as it was being re primed after the lunch break, so little to see and rushed through this area with 30 others, tour guide was very enthusiastic but the experience was down to a quick introduction in the museum, hastened through the non operating bottling area, watching a video and then sampling a... after many trips to Barbados we finally stop at Mt Gay for the tour. while somewhat interesting it was dull, staff was good but overall would only go back if it was raining to kill some time until the sun comes back out. I recommend a visit to the Four Square distillery self guided tour through the actual distillery if... More

Was ok. Really not a must. Very small portions. Nothing to see but a video! Made us taste the cheap ones. For 59$ didn't even make us taste the 1703! Charging extra13 us for it....

We really liked that they provided transportation to and from our tour. That was great. The center is pretty small, there is a gift shop, a bar and restaurant, and they take you to a room with a few historical items in it and, of course, a bar, and you watch a movie. Then you try each of their rums... More

We enjoyed our experience but it's perhaps a bit boring for the younger teenagers. The history is interesting and the process of making the rum (and tasting it) was good with helpful, fun tour guides. The gift shop is also good.

We took a taxi from our resort to Mount Gay and had a great time. We purchased a standard tour which was inexpensive and turned out to be a great value once they started pouring the samples. The tour guide was excellent - informative, friendly, and enthusiastic. We purchased some "souvenir" bottles of rum to take home from the gift... More

Really liked the tour, very informative. The difference from 12 years ago is that they now have catering onsite each Monday, Wednesday and Friday. And it is delicious and very affordable. Try the fishcakes, they are to die for and the rest of the menu seems to change every time. Thanks to Liz and la Cuisine Gourmande for that!!!!! That... More
