Strap on those flippers: the calm, sheltered waters of the bay make this beach a great place to snorkel.

Even despite the wind and crashing waves it was a great spend of time. Fairly private. Earlier visit had family photos which turned out great.

This was close to our hotel, the Fairmont. We decided to check it out during our scooter excursion. It's just amazing to see the cool rock formations......When we got there, there was another couple taking pictures. Other that that, the place is deserted. Highly recommend...More

Really enjoyed this beach. Snorkelling was great too and we went there weren't many people there. A bit of a hidden gem of a beach.

This is great gem of a beach that is smaller and much less crowded than Horseshoe Bay or Tabacco Bay Beach. Right off the main road down a path to the beach. The snorkeling here is great for experienced individuals, but is not ideal for...More

Walked here from Gibbs Lighthouse, took about 15/20 minutes. Port-a-potty's are at top of hill with 2 rooms for men and 2 for women. Wooden steps down to beach. Beach and waterway are larger than Tobacco Bay, with just as many fish to see when...More

Great place to snorkel right off the main road. Easy to get to by bus. Nice beach, small but not crowded. A lot of nice fish right at the beach.

The underwater scenery is fantastic, and ocean life is so alive with color and energy. Kids love this beach and you can picnic here easily, from anywhere in Southampton parish. The water is awesome.

Avoided Horseshoe because of the Cruise ship crowds. Nice beach with some of the best snorkeling on the island. Bring water shoes & an umbrella

Just west of Horseshoe and far less crowded (though there are no facilities here) is Church Bay. This beach offers the best snorkelling on the south shore with parrotfish and others coming right up to shore and along shallow reefa that strech out from the...More

One of my favorite beaches on Bermuda's gorgeous south shore. Uncrowded and peaceful, you can find your own private patch of pink sand and just relax or put on your snorkeling gear and have a great time.

There were no umbrellas for rent when we were there in June, however you could find some shade by the rocks. Public bus runs from the boatyard to church bay beach. If you ask bus drivers, they will generally let you off... More

We will be cruising into King's Wharf in August. How do we get from there to Church Bay Beach using public transportation? Is there a bus route? What #?

Simple...hop-on a regular (not a 'Special' or #8) ***#7-Dockyard-Via South Shore Beaches-Hamilton*** public bus. The bus stop is located right near the landward-end of your King's/Heritage Wharf cruise ship pier. The bus ride to the stop for CHURCH BAY PARK should probably take 25-30 very pleasant minutes. You may purchase a one(1) or multi-day TRANSPORTATION PASS, TICKETS or TOKENS at the VISITORS INFORMATION desk, inside the '..gazebo..' GIFT SHOP...located just across from the...More
The Outback rental apartment (2 Replies)
I made my first trip to Bermuda from late December until January 2nd of this year and had a great time. My wife mutual friend and I found a great rental apartment that I hadn't heard too much about before booking it. I figured that future travelers might benefit from knowing a little more about this property called the Outback in Southampton Parish. I did some searching around the Internet and here on TripAdvisor, but very little turned up in way of reviews for the property. This made me a...More

Trip Report July 24-30, 2018 (8 Replies)
Just returned from 6 nights in Bermuda with our 2 children ages 9 and 14. We rented a house off of "Bermuda Rentals" # C44 in South Hampton. Staying at that place was the best part of our trip. It was very comfortable and quiet and their enormous heated pool was amazing. We lucked out as the previous renters had purchased monthly bus passes that they left behind for someone else to use. We purchased groceries for breakfast and lunches along with a couple BBQ dinners. The prices of groceries...More
