Located within the Botanical Gardens, this site is just not worth the time and effort it takes to get there. The Masterworks Museum features mostly local artists. There is one very minor work by Georgia O'Keefe-a pencil sketch of a tree bark. The Winslow Homer painting was not on display.

Dear Guest, We are sorry to hear that you had a less than pleasant experience at our establishment and appreciate an honest feedback, but believe you may have been misinformed about our collection. We have 3 works by Homer not just one, many American modernists, most notably Demuth and Hartley, as well as a stunning collection of world renown photographers,... More

You must visit the Botanical Gardens and this beautiful museum. It features many of Bermuda's fine artists as well as artists who were inspired by Bermuda's beauty while visiting the island. The museum features three Winslow Homer paintings but the biggest thrill of our visit was a personal tour of the archives by Mr. Tom Butterfield himself--curator and founder of... More

The museum was very enjoyable to take in - a good healthy hike from Hamilton to the Botanical Gardens brought us to the Museum as an afterthought. However, we were pleasantly surprised by its quality of works - first rate - cozy and user friendly in scale, rich in history, a visually stimulating collection from timeless high quality realist landscape... When you have had enough of the sand and sun. The botanical gardens are lovely and so nice to walk around, including the Kitchen Garden in the back. The museum is a little gem focusing on local artistry and gives the visitor a glimpse of life on Bermuda. There is a rather rich and diverse culture and visiting the museum... More

When we expressed an interest in seeing the museum archive, Tom Butterfield, the Founder and Director of the museum, personally took us into the museum storage area to show us some of the treasures that are there. We saw three Winslow Homer watercolors painted on the island along with an Albert Gleizes that were all simply wonderful. Everyone was most... More
