Murky swamp that is hard to find and not worth it when you do, but great that there is a bit of wild space in Bermuda for the birds.

We visited Sherwin Nature Reserve yesterday. I wish we had read Steve's review before going: I confirm every word of it! The trail is not just unkempt but even spooky, with spider webs across the path... We were glad to get out. I believe the place has a lot of potential but is completely overlooked and uncared for.

We had a great vacation for our first visit to the lovely island of Bermuda. But the only disappointment was the massive opportunity missed by the Bermuda Parks department and the Bermudan National trust to get people off the beaches and golf courses and walking or cycling its nature attractions. It’s as if they don’t expect people to be bothered... More

Sherwin Nature Reserve is hard to find unless you know it is there. Once there, the swamp has dried up leaving you far from the pond that holds wild fowl (go to Somerset Nature Preserve or Paget Marsh for a better marsh/wildlife viewing experience). The best thing to do from this point is to hike up to the Railroad Trail... More
