About
Located on the property of the Grotto Bay Beach Resort. We run daily 2 tank wreck and reef dives, as well as a shallow reef dive for beginners in the afternoon. We offer all PADI courses from beginner all the way up to Instructor level. Dive Bermuda at Grotto Bay is the only dive shop that dives both Bermuda's southerly and northern wrecks and reefs. We are open April through November.

There are few businesses I’ve been as compelled to write a rave review on as I have for Dive Bermuda. The service and experience have never been anything short of sensational, both at the Grotto Bay and Somerset locations. The staff are friendly, attentive, communicative, and knowledgeable. They prioritize safety and do diving the right way always making it a safe and fun trip. You can tell the staff are passionate about what they do and it translates to a wonderful customer experience.
(It is a larger boat out of Grotto Bay than Sometset, both each respective shop offers varied dive site access.)
I first learned to dive with them in a “Discover Scuba Dive” session and ~50 dives later, have gone on to add my basic PADI, advanced diver, lionfish certification, etc. via Dive Bermuda and their consistent approach to pragmatic teaching and ensuring their customers are well prepared for all things diving set them apart as a preeminent diving experience and has kept me coming back for more.
For the dive experience, they provide fresh towels, fresh water, complimentary baked goods, have rental equipment available for a charge, and know the ins and outs of the diverse dive sites across Bermuda; happily answering any and questions dive or Bermuda related.
Specific to Bermuda, they really understand the conditions and will make a point of making a dive happen when weather will allow, but never push the envelope to a point of concern. (Sure there have been sea sick days, but hey, that’s show business and they’re always waiting in the wings wish a glass of water and affirmations you’ll be seeing fish soon.)
They’ll often have dive members on hand willing to take and share pictures, that know and can help you navigate a bespoke diving experience, and that make a point of being ethical stewards to the ocean and Bermuda environment.
You’re in a good hands and cannot recommend Dive Bermuda any more strongly.

We set up a date/time to do a one stop snorkel tour with Dive Bermuda during our stay at Grotto Bay Resort. Through no fault of their own, there were not enough participants to go out during that time and they offered to put us with the Scuba group for the next day.
This turned out great for us. Two stops instead of one with great staff/guides.
We visited a reef area first and saw many types of coral and fish, then on to a shipwreck.
The guides gave us instructions on what areas to stay within for safety and once they were on their way with the divers the Skipper reviewed it again and kept an eye out for us from his perch during both stops.
Roll call was completed after both stops and it was obvious that safety was paramount.
Very pleased with all of the staff that helped make our experience a good one, entertaining and kept us safe (I wish I could remember everyone’s names).

My husband and I went out on the beginner diver boat as two snorkelers. Will did a great job of speaking to both groups (divers and snorkelers) and making sure we were both ready to go. A great 8-mile boat ride out to Big Rock, 1 hour in the water, and then the ride back. It included wetsuits, snorkel gear, water and cookies. We had the best time and highly recommend snorkeling (or diving) with Dive Bermuda!

I had the pleasure of diving with DiveBermuda at Grotto Bay this week and it was the most incredible experience! Hannah took care of us in the shop and was so nice and informative to help us get set up and make sure we have everything we would need. For our 2 tank shipwreck and reef dives we had Brittany and Cam who were AMAZING at just about everything! From start to finish they made it the most worthwhile and enjoyable experience. Brittany briefed us on the history of each shipwreck and was able to answer every single question our group had and pointed out all of the great marine life underwater and even caught some huge lionfish. Even back on the boat when some of us weren’t sure what fish we saw, we were able to describe it to Brittany and all the other crew and they were able to tell us all about the fish of the Bermuda reefs!!! If you’re coming to Bermuda, you absolutely HAVE to dive with these guys!! I know we’ll never pass up at time to dive with DiveBermuda ever again! Great great shop to Dive with

What a great outfit! From the time of booking through to dive day, the communication was excellent, booking was easy and everyone was very helpful as this was my first time diving in Bermuda. My first day there was a bit of wind but the captain got us to a perfect dive spot that was protected from the wind. The dive was so good, I signed up to dive again the next day (which was a perfect day to dive!!) Everyone is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and fun. The boat was well maintained and has plenty of room to make for a comfortable dive. The actual dives were magnificen (2 wrecks and 2 reefs) . This is the only outfit I want to dive with when I'm in Bermuda! I can't wait to come back !! Thank you so much!!!

2 stunning dives. A really beautiful reef dive with a beautiful "cathedral" and lots of tunnels and swim throughs, followed by a wreck dive. The Grotto bay dive boat is fantastic, very spacious and comfortable for all divers.
The team at Dive Bermuda are extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I felt very safe diving with them.
We were treated with lovely snacks after the dive.

An amazing family dive trip. We have been diving for a long time and this is, by far, one of the most professional outfits we have ever seen. They are also incredibly helpful and it is clear that they profoundly love their work. Their enthusiasm is uniquely contagious and there are some truly spectacular dives in Bermuda.

Amazing staff. Did a refresher with my three kids (age 23-29) and then a reef dive and a double dive later in the week. Exceptional service that started when we booked our dives, a warm welcome when we arrived at the dive shop, super efficient process of selecting our diving gear and the experienced captain took us safely to the dive site with pinpoint precision. North Rock was a gem of a reef dive. Wow. What an experience and Brittany guided us with precision around the reef, pointing out anything of interest . Such a diligent follow thru from getting us into the sea until we were safely back in the boat where the captain and the other team members brought us safely onboard again.

I had six dives with the team and found all very professional in their attention to detail and happy to help. The diving was great but with limited fish life which is often the case. This is made up withe the reefs and wrecks it was fun and I would recommend the dive shop. Bermuda is expensive when compared to othe places I have dived but that is jnown

I cannot say enough good things about Dive Bermuda! They were professional, responded quickly to questions, accommodating, funny, and incredibly safe. I brought my whole family and students and we had people newly certified through people who had been diving all over the world. The sites were well-chosen, the captain and dive masters were fantastic, and every single person had a great experience.

Our fees vary depending on the diving that you wish to do and the equipment you require. A 2 tank dive for certified divers is $150 including mask, fins, tanks and weights. Any additional equipment can be rented for a cost of $15 per item for BCD, Regulator and wetsuit. Unfortunately we would be unable to offer any diving the week of the 2nd as we have a private charter running that week. Our sister shop at the Fairmont Southampton should be able to accomodate you during that time. If you have any further questions you can always email us or visit our website.
