This is not the most beautiful beach we visited in Bermuda, but it was definitely one of our favorites. We were staying in St. George for 1 week in October 2016 and we visited here twice. Our first visit was early in the week. It was a very windy day, so snorkeling was not ideal. We opted to rent a... More

In kind of remote area, nice for photos. Would have loved to swim on a warmer day- good add on to a trip to Fort st. Catherine's, but wouldn't make the trip just for the beach.

We visitors during the off season but this place a a treasure trove of crystal clear water and little rock formation coves. Whether you're looking for a private experience or shallow beach snorkel adventure it seems to cover all bases. On the smaller size with a local feel.

Went here in March to snorkel. Even with wetsuits, it was cold. The bathrooms were open, which was great. Had fun feeding the fish, and the coral was great. But major, frightening broken glass all over the beach.

If you make the walk to/from St. Georges and Fort Saint Catherine, I recommend at least one of the trips pass by Tobacco Bay (it’s on the way). Like many pretty coves around the island, Tobacco Bay has impressive rock formations and blue waters. You will see this bay in many local paintings…it’s relatively well known. It’s probably a 10-minute... More

New enthusiasm and proprietors last year at Tobacco Bay made a HUGE difference. The building was all but abandoned and looked very tired in the past, but Tobacco Bay now has a concession that runs a little hip Caribbean style entertainment. There's reggae or dancehall, they serve drinks, serve beach grade snacks and food. I had fish bits. They were... More

This bay is very protected from the open ocean bu large rocks, so there are virtually no waves. 3/4 of the area is almost perfectly flat, so it's like a 2' to 4' deep pool depending on the tide. The last 50-100' before the rocks does drop off if you want to be in deeper water. Mostly sandy bottom with... More

Walking from St. George Square is about 25 minutes (stopped at the unfinished cathedral-closed en route). Glad we didn't miss this spot while in the area. Our 4 & 7 year olds were tired and a lovely government crew called the town hall to send a taxi for us. There was no bus service to the area and the club... More

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2017

I went in February so it was very quiet and unfortunately the cafe was closed by the time I arrived (at 5 PM). The water was very blue and it was a beautiful location to watch the sunset. It seemed quiet shallow so I would return to go snorkeling. It's like having your own private bay with beach cafe. A... More
