My wife and I booked the morning ride on the Northern coast of Aruba. We are novice riders and it was great how helpful the guides were in helping everyone feel comfortable and safely ride the horses. The views were stunning along the coast with several natural caves and bridges that we were able to stop and take pictures along the ride. Would definitely recommend as part of your visit to the island.

We had a variety of experience levels in our group and they were able to accommodate us by pairing us with appropriate horses and slowly increasing the horse's pace. We traveled near the shoreline and witnessed large waves crashing. The guides were friendly and were teaching us words in other languages. They took pictures with our phones and their phones throughout the tour and sent us all of their photos. It was a wonderful 3 hours.

We had a great morning of horseback riding. The staff was very friendly, extra safe, and we had a great group of horses for the ride. The views are fantastic and we highly recommend it.

Our family group of 8 people really enjoyed our private horseback tour with GoldMine Ranch. The friendly, enthusiastic owner picked us up at our hotel in his van and told us about the history of the island along the way. After a short drive to the ranch, we were given safety instructions and provided helmets for anyone that wanted one. We enjoyed the the beautiful coastal scenery, so different from the other side of Aruba near the resorts. Our 10 yr old daughter was able to ride by herself. The three Ranch employees that led our group were fun, skilled, and professional and made sure that we arrived safely back at the ranch. Would highly recommend this tour.

Okay firstly they said that you get the below. - no one tells you anything about the gold mines I didn't even see them or know if we had seen them, I asked the cab driver on the way back, he said that the stables were built on an old gold mill, so thats that. No one mentions anything to you, you are just put on some horses, the guides don't speak great English, and you have one guide that makes loud noises at the back, like whistles really loudly and starts schreaking, then all the horses start to do a frantic trot for a few strides, which is very unsettling and very unempowering ! You are not in control, you just sit pensively until the guide starts schreaking again and then the horses start getting into a frantic trot for another few strides, the guide up the front is on a spanish prancing horse that looks like its on the verge of bolting all the time though In sure its not, but it clearly freaks the other horses out. I personally have been riding since a child. It was very boring, only a few freaked out trots for a few strides, no gentle canters, or normal collected trots for a little while, just walk the whole way (apart from when he whistles and screams then they all freak out, felt very unsafe). It was boring - we also did one with I think it was range Loco something like that, much better. Guides spoke perfect English, we got to do little trots and canters on the way home. All the horses were much calmer, the guides rode calm horses, they told us to instruct the horses what to do, so it wasn't like it suddenly broke into a frantic run, you kicked it on to trot (as you should) way better in my opinion. Would not got back to these guys, they make it sound much better than it is. We were very disappointed, ow and the saddle didn't fit very well and I had something digging into my angle the whole time which left a bruise, was boring and felt unsafe. Come enjoy a 1.5-hour afternoon ride around some of the most beautiful spots in Aruba! Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins Shark Bay Budui Beach Baby Natural Bridge Countryside Hidden Valley & Lagoon

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback. Because it is such a skeptical and widely different view compared to all our other 5-star reviews, here are some clarifications. First of all, did you come to the ranch to ride horses or explore the gold mines? Gold mine exploration you can do by visiting the Gold Mill Ruins. Second, as someone who claims to be a rider, you seem to have very little knowledge about horses. The guides' horse is a paso fino breed, the prancing you saw is the breeds peculiar walk. These horse breeds have high energy and are only for advanced riders. You were paired with an intermediate horse. As a rider you could have taken control but you chose to just "sit pensively" and let the horse take control over you. Our horses are calm and respond to the guides voice. The guides know best when to allow the horses to walk, trot or canter and the horses follow their voice commands. Third, you booked a group tour and had beginners and first time riders in the group with you. You cannot compare being in a group with novices with being on a private tour. Dissappointed? Yes, because you cannot ride a horse in open terrain as well as you claimed. Boring? For you maybe, because you chose to sit pensively on the horse instead of enjoying the beautiful coastline and scenery. Unsafe? Absolutely not. Did you or anyone in the group fall, get injured, or hurt? No. Our guides are professional riders and speak English. If you communicate your expectations to your guide during the tour they can help you to trot, canter, take your pictures, and tell you about the area. We work very hard to make the tour exciting and safe, but pleasing everyone all the time can be impossible without your honest communication.
