About
Renowned for its iconic Fofoti trees, this pristine beach beckons a trip. There are low-rise hotels and beach resorts lining the shores, but the beach is mostly quiet. The waters are also relatively calm in the designated swimming zones. Boat tours and water activities like snorkeling and jet skiing are popular here as well. If you're lucky, you may even spot turtles nesting or hatching on the shore between March and September. Eagle Beach is also a popular wedding photoshoot location—many newlyweds come to snap their wedding photos against the blissful Caribbean waters. – Tripadvisor

- Terri VTallmadge, Ohio24 contributionsGreat beach crappy chair and umbrella rentalsBeautiful beach! Not crowded. Easy taxi ride from the cruise port. The only issue we had was chair and umbrella rentals are OUTRAGEOUS… 50 bucks for 2 chairs and an umbrella and you can’t get 3 chairs it has to be 2 chairs per umbrella. The man selling was absolutely rude as well. Do yourself a favor and bring a blanket, there were shade trees that others were sitting under and didn’t have to pay for the umbrellas and chairs. There was a restroom at the little restaurant/bar at the beach but the line was really long.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 4, 2023

For many reasons it’s my happy place. If the opportunity presents itself come visit you’ll keep going back.❤️🌴Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 24, 2023
- Lynn HBrampton, Canada43 contributionsBeautiful beachThis is a great beach. Sand is soft and water warm. It is a great place to stay for the day. Parking free. There is skidoo rentals for 80.00 for half hour. They also sell beach chairs. There is no shells or rocks in the water. Nice and smooth bottom.Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 5, 2023
- CrodinFlSt. Petersburg, Florida3 contributionsGreat beach lousy servicesGreat beach with few amenities. I would have given it a 5 star review but the attitude of the chair rental guys and $55 dollars for ripped up couple of chairs and an umbrella are the reason for the lesser review. This could be a real winner but they need to improve the customer service experience.Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 8, 2023
- Mark DSaline, Michigan18 contributionsEagle Beach a bit more choppy than Palm BeachDue to shaky weather mostly, not a fault of the beach I think, the waves were more choppy at Eagle Beach than they were at Palm Beach. But Palm Beach has a deeper (further away form the shore) sand shelf to break the waves than Eagle Beach. Over a one week stay, we went to the beach 4 times, but the last time it was a lot smoother and easy to stand in the water without getting hit hard by a wave. But getting a beach umbrella was easy at $25 for the day (or however long you stayed during the day) was reasonable.Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 25, 2023
- Stanley YAnnandale, Virginia242 contributionsFourth time cruise stopOur fourth time on a cruise stop in Aruba. The beach was just as we left it pre-covid. $15 cab from the cruise port. Beach is free but 2 chairs and umbrella was $50 all day. There was a steeper entry into the surf than I remember but if you walk the beach you can find an easy entry/exit spot. Maybe hurricane leftover. Nice sandy bottom, no seaweed.Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 26, 2023
- Mac MNorth Canton, Ohio6 contributionsEagle Beach: The Crown Jewel of the Caribbean!Eagle Beach is the most expansive beach on the island boasting the softest sand and loads of amenities. We stay at the Costa Linda Beach Resort (Time Share) located at the widest point of the beach. The services are second to none and everything you want to do is close by. Facing the Caribbean to the right are jet skis, snorkeling, tubing, parasailing and more. All reasonably priced. It’s almost never crowded as most tourists end up in the high rise where all the big restaurants and shopping is done. But the low-rise? That’s where the magic is and Eagle Beach is the crown jewel. Spectacular views, the best photos and perfect sunsets! You have to experience it to really believe it!Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 30, 2023
- sadt0mat086 contributionsEagle Beach is beautiful, but bring cash! Our cruise ship docked in Aruba for the day and after some shopping in the morning we decided to spend the afternoon at the beach. A few people recommended Eagle Beach, so we decided to check it out. My word of advice if you go is to bring a lot of cash. We rented chairs and an umbrella for $65. Umbrella and 2 chairs were $50, and each additional chair was $15. Renting an umbrella and chairs also gives you access to the bathroom and showers at Coco Loco bar. If you are going to be at the beach for any amount of time, I would suggest chairs and an umbrella. The shade is very limited. We took a taxi from the cruise port. It was $15 each way plus tip. Be aware it could be as much as $25 each way. It depends on the driver. You are definitely at their mercy on the way back to the ship. We enjoyed our afternoon but the beach is a bit rough so you will want to keep a really good eye on small children in and near the water. If I can answer any questions for you, please feel free to send me a message.Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 21, 2023
- browncondo2102Kitchener, Canada1,770 contributionsGreat BeachesWe took a private tour to Eagle and Palm Beaches to enjoy the great beaches that Aruba has to offer. Lots of low rise and high rise hotels along the way to satify everyones budget. I think I liked the colourful Amsterdam Hotel the best. We then drove through Oranjestad and headed off to San Nicolsas to have a look at Baby Beach. After spending 30 mins there we went back to San Nicholas to take pictures of the very colourful and beautiful wall murals that adorned many walls in the town. Then it was back to Oranjestad.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 22, 2023
- Allison TGeorgia37 contributionsGreat day trip or excursionAruba was a cruise stop for us and after some research decided on Eagle Beach due to its beauty and location. We told a taxi the beach’s name and he dropped us off at Coco Loco Beach Bar where nearby we rented 4 chairs and 2 umbrellas for $100. Kinda pricey but we couldn’t provide our own so what ya gonna do. The beach is long and the sand is light beige. A lot like Destin, FL (but better) if you’re familiar with that area. The water is surprisingly so many beautiful shades of blue and very clean. Once in the water the sand felt almost like mud, which was kinda neat. Temp of the water was quite comfortable for Dec. We got drinks at Coco Loco and they had a bathroom for everyone to use. Overall great stop for a day.Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 28, 2023

Took a taxi to Eagle Beach from the cruise ship terminal. It was $5 a person for 1 way transfer. The beach is a white powder beach and the water is super blue and clear. There is no seawood or anything floating in the water. There was a couple little bar area's that you could buy drinks and food. You could also rent umbrella's and beach chairs ( not sure on cost since we just sat on the beach). Taxi's are in the area all the time and it was no problem to catch a ride back to the ship for another $5 a person.

Amazing beach, gorgous white clean sand. Stunningly clear turquoise water. Busy beach in front of several resorts with designated umbrellas/palapas, but you can rent a sturdy umbrella and lounge chairs for $40 USD all day or $15 USD for just chairs. Not a ton of food/drink options but bringing cooler is just fine. Suggest towel clips as the wind can be quiet strong at times.

The beach is huge which is a major plus! We were able to get a palapa (straw umbrella) on the beach every day we needed one. We were at the tropicana and la cabana and those 2 hotels share an area of the beach. BUT people go to the beach AT SUNRISE to reserve a palapa. A member from our group went down every morning at like 7am to grab one. Hotel staff are there to assign you one and bring your chairs over. If you leave a bag or towel marking your territory you have it basically all day. If you don't plan to be there all day though give it away because lots of people end up without one. The beach starts to clear out around 4 so when we went to the beach later on certain days we still got a palapa. They clean the beach every night (at least in our hotels area) so it's always great. There are snack and drink huts along the beach and places to book excursion and parasail etc. This beach was also our favorite to play in the waves. The waves can be HUGE but it depends on the wind, other times it was relativity calm. There were people of all ages, baby to adult. We spent a lot of time here.
I will say, on our first day we wandered around looking for a palapa ourselves and people told us to go talk to a staff member in order to get one. Plus, the chairs are all locked up to prevent random people from taking the chairs... if you aren't staying at a hotel on eagle beach you will have to rent chairs and an umbrella (not palapa). This is a plus to staying ON eagle beach!

I heard a lot about Eagle Beach being more natural and wider than Palm Beach. I did like the famous trees that you see when you first see the beach but found it to be even more crowded than Palm Beach. There were a lot of jet skis and other activities happening as well and just felt busier. The water was beautiful and got much deeper than the area I was in at Palm Beach and that was a nice change.

Great beach on Sunday & Monday all day the rest of the week after 3 pm due to busses. Great little bar on the beach called Coco Loco. Umbrellas are over priced at $50.00 for the day and they will take it for you at 3:30 / 4 pm.

We stopped here on a Norwegian cruise. We were on the huge, over crowded and noisy Epic, never again, but that will be for another review. :)
This was our second visit to Aruba and it wont be our last. We were on Palm Beach last time, which is just a continuation of Eagle beach. You can walk it forever, up to the California Lighthouse.
The beach was clean soft white sand and the water was clear and blue. I think, of all the islands we have been to, Aruba has the most salt in the water, you are very bouyant. Bonaire is a close second.
You can rent loungers and an umbrella for about $30.00 - $40.00 for the day. It is a large beach and we did not feel crowded.

We had one day in Aruba and chose to spend the entire day at Eagle Beach. The sand was white and the water a beautiful turquoise, but chillier than we would have imagined. Very windy. Not much to see if you want to snorkel. We were able to get chairs for $10 each near Paradise Villa. If you get there early enough, there are some free umbrellas and thatched roof covers - otherwise you can rent umbrellas too. There is a great restaurant, Passions, that serves lunch on the beach and has some shade to escape the sun.
Kids had a blast playing all day.

Not to crowded. Get there early (8-9am) for a palapa, they are first come first serve and free. If you don't get there in time, there are some trees that offer some shade and a portion of the beach has a lot of vegetation that provides it as well. Umbrellas and chairs are also for rent. Umbrellas were $25 when we were there. We did not rent chairs so I do not know the price. Water was awesome.

We have been coming to this island for years and I'm so disappointed in all the building that is going on. Eagle beach has become crowded. You use to be able to find a palapa if you went early enough. Now you can't because there are so many people who are taking them before 7 am. So no shade if you want to spend the day on the beach. No bathrooms unless you are at one of the resorts. It isn't just Eagle Beach. We use to be able to park anywhere and go to any beach and find most empty. Now parking is difficult and there are more people than ever on these beaches that use to be empty. Plus there is more building going on so it will become even harder to find quiet beaches. I find it sad that the island is becoming over populated. We may have to start searching elsewhere.

ricardos is a small restaurant located on Eagle Beach right on the sand. All the food is prepped to order the staff fantastic the food outstanding and the price is moderate, my wife and I enjoy having dinner in the evening and watching the sun sink into the ocean. And in the mornings we enjoy having breakfast. Watching the sunrise the restaurant is small, but very romantic.

Would like to go to Eagle Beach as I will be on a cruise so porting for the day. What are the chances of getting a chair and umbrella. How early do you need to arrive.

I'll be stopping at Aruba via a cruise ship in March of 2024. Is it easy to take a public bus from the port? Also is it easy to rent umbrella and two beach chairs? Also do you know the cost
Written July 27, 2023
We took one of the tourist buses which was $5usd each one way. They went back and forth to Eagle beach from the port. They seemed to be about 30mins a part. We rented 2 chairs and an umbrella for $50usd for the day and it came with two bottles of water. It was from one of the resorts (can't remember which one). they also would bring us food and beverages from the resort and we could use their washrooms.
We were told that you could rent chairs and umbrellas cheaper in other areas but we like a few of the added things this one got us.

I'm afraid not. That being said, the waves are usually not too bad, they are stronger in early spring when the winds are a bit stronger also

Is it easy ti get from eagle beach to the main strip at palm beach? If so how safely and easy with kids?
Written January 7, 2023
Take the city bus; inexpensive and convenient. Taxis will not allow you in if you have wet clothing. There is a huge fine if you get the seats wet. Ridiculous considering it's a beach! Too far to walk from Eagle to Palm, but there is a wide walking/biking path that runs beside the street by Eagle Beach if you want to take a walk. Aruba is very safe everywhere. Out at night with no concerns for safety. Watch YouTube videos.

Yes. We rented a palapa with chairs from La Quinta on the beach, even though we weren't staying there. There was also a place to rent umbrellas and chairs near the Coco Loco Beach Bar.
