Something of an anti-climax. Had been walking round for ages trying to find the fort and tower. Eventually saw a sqat striped tower with a clock,a gateway and a couple of cannon. Aruba has little visible history so this is about all there is.tri

Were there on a Sunday when the fort and museum were closed, but as the oldest structure on Aruba and one with parts of it from different eras, it was still worthwhile walking by it and seeing what could be seen from the outside.

This is a very small museum but the views of the city of Oranjestad from the tower are spectacular. It is a bit of a tough climb up the steep wooden stairs that are more ladder-like but it is definitely worth the effort
