If you are up for a bit of a hike that pays off, climb to the top of Hooiberg! You can see the whole island from the top and the views are really stunning! Bring a camera.

We are 66 and 70 but had no trouble climbing the steps to the top. It was well worth the hike. It is easy to find, just swing around to the east side (left) of the haystack.

Worth the 600+ step climb. Bring some water and go earlier in the day. Great views from the top, except for the communication towers on the top with all of the graffiti. Don't be surprised when you see wild goats near the top.

As the others have said, it is not a walk I would take from the cruise port. The views at the top are good, but obscured by all of the antennas and equipment. There are so many others places to see and do, if this was a... More
