Wonderful panorama

Indeed a big surprise to detect this wonderful view after a drive through villages with small wooden houses. Wonderful in a sunny day!

Single entrance fee of US$8 per person covers Shirley Heights/Dow's Hill and Nelson's Dockyard. We enjoyed a local rum and bought some local hot sauce at the small restaurant at Shirley Heights. If you are driving yourself, Shirley Heights is the right-hand choice at the "Y" in the road (the left-hand choice is also a great view, at the Blockhouse).... More

There were cheap stalls with trinkets for sale, the food was being cooked but it was expensive and then they charged an entry fee. The view was nice over looking English Harbour.

The Sundays at Shirley Heights came with a massive reputation and it didn't disappoint. Great BBQ food (try the jerk pork) and a good bar serving beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks and the obligatory rum punch. The live band were absolutely fantastic as was the steel drum band before them. The view overlooking English Harbour is beautiful.

Great views over English Harbour from Shirley Heights. You can see why the British Navy picked English Harbour for their dockyard. Visit Nelson's Dockyard first (entrance fee 21ECD) keep hold of your ticket because that gets you entrance on the toll road up to Shirley Heights.

This is one of the key events on a Sunday evening throughout the year in Antigua for Tourists and also many locals. Steel bands play from around 4:00pm and at about 7:00 a more contemporary and very good band play on the main stage for a 3 hour set! Entry is $10 US per person but once inside drinks are... More

My wife and I rented a car for a few days because we were told to be sure we visited Shirley heights. We were not disappointed. During daylight hours you pay a fee to visit but we also went back the following day around 6 am for the sunrise and there was no fee to pay. When you go during... More

Not the greatest experience. And this is my third visit! Great location to take some sunset photos but you do feel a bit herded in and the queues for food and drink put a damper on things. Probably best to go with a crowd of friends.
