We did the typical tourist thing and went on a Sunday night, it's busy but cool. Stunning views and lots of history. Cheapish drinks and bbq food, blinding steel band followed by reggae band which even got me dancing, reminded me on a club night from my younger days.

This is a beautiful place to stop on a tour of Antigua. We came on the Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas. If you come on Windstar's cruise ships, come at night and on Sunday's they have a huge party here :) The sellers here are a bit weird but the views are well worth the stop.

Our hotel arranged tour 5.30 - 9pm It is a good place to take pictures over Nelsons Harbour and to catch a good sunset (if not too cloudy) There was a steel band playing until about 7pm then two girls came on a small stage and sang a variety of songs. My husband said the music was too "pop" and... More

This was a perfect way to start our trip. Good food, cocktails and great music overlooking a stunning view at sunset. Don't miss and don't leave too early. After 8, the music rocks the house!

We didn't have a great trip to Antigua because of our resort (see review on Verandah resort and spa) but the excursions made us enjoy it despite that! The trip to Shirley Heights for the sunset BBQ on Sunday evening was awesome! Unfortunately it was overcast and cloudy, about to rain, so we did not get much of a sunset,... More

As the name suggests, it's a high point with a view over the sea and is a great place to watch the sun set, and then eat, drink and dance the night away. Brilliant atmosphere with Reggae bands and dancing with locals and tourists alike. It's w great big party!

Our family got a taxi to Shirley Heights for the Sunday afternoon/evening music. The Steel band and the Reggae band were excellent. The views are amazing. I would say get there early if you want a seat as it gets really busy and there are not enough seats for all. If you have young children I would take a picnic... More

A brilliant Sunday night. So much atmosphere. There was a steel band while the sun set, followed by a fantastic band to dance the night away to.
