We booked the Lobster Lunch & Beach excursion package while on our Disney cruise. We were a little nervous that our 22 month old daughter would not enjoy it, but it was an amazing excursion. The crew was fantastic, they entertained her and she had so much fun exploring the catamaran. The dancing was fun where everyone got up in a conga line. Every one participated because we had such a good time everywhere we sailed to. The beaches speak for themselves, beautiful and calm enough for a toddler, with just enough wave to have safe fun.
The lobster lunch was ridiculously generous and delicious. The best lobster I’ve ever tasted. Also the crew are not stingy on how they mix alcoholic beverages; much appreciated for parents.
On our way back to the cruise port my husband, daughter, and I sat at the front of the catamaran, it was amazing. If you could’ve seen our daughter’s face looking at the water and the vista.
So in closing, I highly recommend booking a Tropical Adventures Antigua Mystic Cruise Lobster Lunch & Beach experience.

We went on the sunset cruise on the red Mystic catamaran called the Filante, in June 2020. They picked us up at the beautiful Sandals resort. The cruise was the best part of our trip. The crew was funny, intelligent, and personable. They had nice hors d'oeuvres and kept the drinks coming. They shared a lot of information about what we were seeing on the island; it was very interesting. My husband and son-in-law never dance, but the crew had them up dancing! They played fun music, American music with an island twist. It was such fun and three hours well spent. Thank you to the amazing crew!

My friend and I decided to do a sunset cruise on our last night and we absolutely loved this catamaran cruise. We booked online and found booking to be easy. We opted to have them arrange transportation for us to pick us up from the hotel. We waited at the allotted time for pick up, only to never have a taxi pick us up, and was then told that they have some kind of arrangement with the hotel to do it for us. Annoying, but worked itself out and we arrived to the beach with plenty of time to get on the boat.
Once on the boat, you can sit wherever and are basically served drinks on an all-inclusive package either by walking up to the bar, or by one of the workers circulating the boat at any given time. They stop the music throughout the ride to give you some fun facts about the island. After the sun sets and on the way back they are interactive, playing music and having the guests join dance lines. We loved it. Beautiful boat with amazing staff. I would have given it a 5-star review if not for the issue with the transportation. Definitely a beautiful ending to our trip!

We had such an incredible day on Mystic Cruises Cades snorkeling tour. The crew was professional and fun and ensured that everyone on board had a good time and stayed safe. We sailed from St John along the coast with the captain showing key pints of interest. We snorkeled along a reef with a guide from the crew, we swam on a deserted beach and had a wonderful lunch on board. Highly recommend the grilled lobster for an additional charge - so worth it. The boat is clean and well kept by crew. We only had about 35 people on board but the boat can take 70. You won’t be disappointed on this tour!

We enjoyed our day out snorkelling and going up and down the coast, the crew were delightful and everybody was very safety conscious. The snorkelling out to a reef on a choppy day with currents was well managed I was quite impressed. We booked the Lobster lunch which was fine but probably not worth the extra cost as the Chicken looked good - the que for lunch took a while so we were rather tail end and I am not sure that I got a good piece of lobster although my husband fared better. My main criticism would be that we were told transfer was included but it turned out someone cancelled from our area, and only one way was included so with 2 dropping out we had to pay for our return and it was all a bit chaotic. We would rather just know we had paid the whole cost up front so we could opt for a different operator if we did not like the cost.

Firstly the positives. The boat was clean and tidy and the crew on board were brilliant, knowledgable and friendly. The food was excellent, cooked on a bbq on the back of the boat, we didn’t upgrade to lobster, the fish and chicken was very nice. Well stocked bar. Due to Covid restrictions there wasn’t that many people on the boat which for passengers was great, plenty of places to sit and you could move freely about. We cruised the Caribbean side of the island, the crew pointed out lots of points of interest and history. Now to the negatives. This is advertised as a beach and snorkelling trip. We did stop on Cades reef for snorkelling but the current was so strong, the average swimmer would not have been able to swim against it. We did try but it was just too strong and you needed to swim out a long way to get to the reef, also they said stick with your guide but he was in the water and gone so fast there was little chance of keeping up with him. They have a recover boat, so they obviously know that a lot of people are not going to be able to swim in the current and we witnessed quite a few people having to be picked up by this boat. if we had known this we would not have booked the trip. Then we stopped at a beach for a maximum of 10 minutes, barely got off the boat when we were called back on board. So over all the boat side of the trip is good but it does not fulfil the advertised trip.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! A group of 4 of us booked this through our resort, Pineapple Beach Club, and it was AMAZING!!! We felt comfortable because they book at far less capacity than pre-covid times and there was maybe 16 people and a staff of 4. Plenty of room on the catamaran that can typically hold probably 60. At first we sat at the back with a table and then moved to the front to lay out on the net section. The staff was friendly and attentive with serving drinks and passed food. Surprisingly felt safe with the passed food and none of our group got sick with the virus eating (1 just a bit sea sick). The captain gave us great information on places we passed and had a few jokes as well. The sunset was spectacular and something we will cherish for a long time as it was a lovely way to end a horrible year. Thank you!

We booked the six hour catamaran cruise with lobster lunch as an excursion offered on our Regent Navigator cruise. They didn’t overfill the boat with people so it felt spacious and uncrowded. I had more fun on this six hour trip than I’ve had in the last 20 years. The crew was so friendly and fun and the music play list was outstanding. They grilled lobsters and poured beer over them while grilling and fed us all a great lunch. We stopped at two different beaches. There was an open bar with great drinks. Everyone was dancing for the last hour and it couldn’t have been more fun. Such a great day.

A lovely big catamaran, and very friendly crew that make your day very enjoyable.
We did the Cades Reef trip . When you get to the reef there is a choice to follow a lead snorkeler from the boat crew, or just swim close to the cat. There is also a fast safety dinghy that cruises close to the snorkelers. Food was excellent and plenty of it. Lobster was also available for an extra 20 dollars booked before you depart. There was a lovely beach stop on the return journey. Great day out on the water, and always very sociable !

We took the Cades reef day trip which is a great way to see the west side of the island. The catamaran is spacious and comfortable, the snorkelling on the reef is first class and well organised, and the food and drink are excellent and plentiful. The captain and crew are very professional but also entertaining and great fun. Everyone seemed to have a great time and loved the “big bamboo “ song (and Congo dancing round the boat on the way back!)

I’m assuming on the snorkeling trips, Tropical Adventures provides the snorkeling experience equipment. Is the true?
Written March 17, 2024
Yes, they provide the gear you'll need for snorkeling. They all seemed to be in good condition (at least the couple that we used).

Do the employees on these boats give instructions that guests aren't allowed to enter private resorts to use the facilities on the resort property? It was embarrassing for these people to have security remove them from the property today when the opposite side of the boat had a clear beach for 300 yards and is used by other companies.
Written March 29, 2022
That would be common sense. It shouldn't have to be told. A private hotel has stuff for the people staying at the hotel. Common sense is not so common. No beaches in Antigua are private but beach chairs, cabanas and water sports all come at a fee

Is there a wide variety of alcohol served ?
Written July 19, 2021
Yes, all of the catamarans in the Mystic Cruises fleet have 2 bathrooms. One for males and one for females. Also, in response to CEG15, All the tours on Mystic Cruises offer sailing after lunch depending on weather conditions.

what are the two beaches you stop at on this boat trip? We want to go to different ones from our hotel. Thanks!
Written January 3, 2018
Not sure, but one was just out of the port, we were the only ones there, very secluded. The other was a much more crowded beach and it is where they picked the lobster up.
