We went as a small group from a cruise ship and we were advised that this was the best beach, that's were it all started going wrong. When we arrived there (only 2 miles from the ship) The staff were swapping tour guide polo tops...More

If you are looking for a quiet escape for the afternoon, this is the place. Short walk from Dickenson beach, pack your snacks and some drinks and enjoy a quiet place to swim, walk the beach, and read your book away from the crowds.

Firstly an apology. We were some of the people on a cruise ship that docked in Antigua in December. And we were desperate to swim in the ocean so we asked a local taxi company and they said that Runaway beach was the closest good...More

Took a taxi out to Mystic Resort.. this is not a "high class" joint, but it was a great place for three well seasoned travelers who have been to all kinds of places. We were on a cruise, but there were no buses or large...More

We had the choice between Runaway Beach and Dickensen's Bay and personally, the difference between the 2 of them left no comparison and Dickensen's Bay is the winner!

this beach was very quiet, and looking "at" the beach, it's beautiful. However, the smell there was pretty bad. We did not use the beachbar at all, which was pretty empty. The staff never came to ask if we needed anything. the chairs were not...More
