Shared a taxi from the cruise ship pier to the beach for $3 per person each way. Sandals resort occupies much of the beach but there are small public establishments on both sides of it. Rented beach chair for $5. Drinks were reasonably priced. From the beach, took a horseback ride to Runway beach.

We took about a 15 minute cab ride from the port shopping center to Dickenson Bay beach next to the Sandals resort. A beautiful little restaurant was in front with very clean bathrooms we had access to with the chair rentals. The sand was unlike anything we had experienced. Extremely soft and silky. Not a twig or sprout of seaweed... More

Fantastic bay, full of wonderful people, nice restaurant, clear water and everything you would dream. Nearly perfectly!

White sand and beautiful sunset for this peaceful and relaxing beach. The water and the beach are crystal clear and there are many attraction and pit stop restaurants. The beach is never too crowded or noisy despite the resorts and the hotels facing the bay. Recommended!

This is simply such a beautiful place, as all beaches in Antigua, it is a public place. That added to our stay as we were able to see local people and dogs and horses enjoying the total freedom of the beach. Amazing sunsets, warm safe sea that was so clean. We walked the length of the beach every day and was... More

My family of 5, which includes my one-year-old son, my five-year-old son, my husband, me, and my mom, recently returned from a 7-day Southern Caribbean cruise, and Antigua was one of our ports of call. There, we enjoyed a very relaxing beach day at Dickenson Bay Beach. We also witnessed the best jet ski experiences when we saw the guys... More

One of 365 beautiful with clear waters of Antigua. With stunning views right in front while swimming. Leave your tech toys in the room cause Antigua is the place to get back to the beautiful nature of their waters.

I went to this beach due to the good reviews here on TA. The taxi dropped us off ($3 pp) and right away a surly guy rented us a couple of loungers and umbrellas--$30.00. Ouch. The water and sand were nice, the water not being as warm as I'd heard Caribbean waters generally are. The real downer here is the... More

This is a beautiful beach. Water is delightful. Beautiful water but no waves. Nice clean beaches. Used to be even better before sandals moved in. Few resturants but would say they are so so. It's a nice place to stay. What I would say I am not sure it's the best for people getting off a cruise ship. With sandals... More

I have a Timeshare condo at Antigua Village. My wife and I love walking along this beach just before sunset. Beautiful sand and crystal clear water.
