Peaceful walking location
Jul 2021 • Couples
Really liked this place. It's good work walking the dogs or just a nice gentle walk. There is spots where you can have a picnic and could even go on different paths to go for a longer walk. It's a nice calm environment and I was just so surprised how nice this place was. I only came across this using the brown signs in the local area. I spent an hour or two here and I would happily come here again

Lovely Walks, Very Peaceful
Oct 2020
1st time for us to visit the lakes. It as lovely walks, we enjoyed it so much we returned the next morning with our granddaughter to feed the ducks. Its about a 1/3 of a mile around the first lake, with good paths. Well worth a visit.

Lovely Walks
Jul 2020 • Couples
We walk around the lower lake on a regular basis. It’s an easy walk, not very long but the scenery is lovely and it changes all year around, lots of toads at some points, bright yellow irises at others. It’s great for photography and there are plenty of other walks leading from the area. It’s worth walking up to the top lake if you can as the views are amazing.

Keep It Clean!

I live here and want to see more done to preserve the Lakes, people park here and throw rubbish out and ruin the stunning tranquil lakes by selfish lazy behaviour. STOP LITTERING!!!
It is a 600m loop around the lower lake where all the ducks are, you can walk your dogs, push a pram and it’s suitable for sturdy wheelchairs, can be muddy and wet but worth a wander on a fresh day.
We are building a Hedge around the Millennial Wood just above the Lake and all help is welcome!! See the FB page for more info.

Tranquil!

20 minutes walk! The Lake has been landscaped since my childhood and is a beautiful place to spend a quiet hour. Walk around it in about 10 minutes, plenty of benches, ducks to feed, photos to snap....
There was a raft on the lake in the 1970's... managed to fall off it! A nice soggy walk home!
Camped between the lake and reservoir on a few occasions in the early 70's.
Nearby Churchyard of St Paul's is worth a stroll and the Church Bells are regularly heard.

Easy walk

Nice walk, flat and circular with picnic tables and benches for a resting spot. Plenty of free parking. Wildlife and pretty view. Bus stop right outside for local bus service.

This is a twenty minute walk from where I live
And where I learnt to swim as a kid
It’s lovely but if you walk half a mile up the road
You’ll come to the reservoir that is totally stunning
