Spiritually uplifting. Read the story of Rumi's cook, who played with fire. It is peaceful and taken care of by his descendant.

The shrine of Ates Baz-i Turbesi was the most tranquil place I visited in Konya. It's situated in a beautiful outskirts area of Konya.

It's a place to reflect and just to sit in the garden. One can appreciate the people you may meet, especially the caretaker who loving takes care of the area and shrine.

A must visit after you have visited the Mevlana Museum, half an hour's drive from the city centre. Calm, peaceful tomb. Pay your respect, don't forget to pick up the small zip-lock pouch of cooking salt for your home use. Ates Baz who had put his feet in the fire (Ates/Atish in Farsi/Urdu) to cook for his Master & his guests on a day when the firewood got finishes, he blesses your kitchen with that salt to serve love & health to your family & guests.
