The guided tour was engaging, going through the personal history and belongings of Eça de Queiroz and its family. The house and surroundings served as inspiration for “A Cidade e as Serras”, so the visit is even more rewarding if you have read the book.

We were blessed with an excellent guide for this museum, which was fortunate as there was not much to see in this museum house. An average farmhouse with some old furniture does not make for an unfortgettable experience. Eça de Queiroz, the writer to which...More

This Museum dedicated to Eça de Queirós is a wonderful tribute to this great 19th century writer. All forms of art are represented in this beautiful home and the devotion as well as knowledge displayed by Sandra our guide on the authors history was outstanding....More
