Good day out monkey forest is much nicer now that they have stopped people feeding the animals you have to be careful and observe the rules but had a good couple of hours here the monkeys can be aggressive at times but never felt unsafe worth a visit

We had arranged a tour guide from our resort at the conrad in Nusa Dua, he was very informative and was very patient and accommodating, the monkey forest was beautiful and a fair few monkeys to see. We really enjoyed it after that we went to the rice fields in Ubud that was spectacular although it wasn't in season we still enjoyed taking photes

It really is incredible to have so many monkeys around you, sometimes outnumbering the humans. Only 80,000 rupiah to walk around in a gorgeous setting with interesting wildlife around you. Watch for the baby ones riding around on their mothers’ bellies. Don’t miss the Holy Spring temple - it was breathtaking, with an enormous tree full of hanging vines over the valley - and the Forest Conservation loop which was a bit hard to find - there were tons of monkeys in there and hardly any tourists! Very peaceful. There was a great art display in the Exhibition Room at the beginning of the loop that provided a nice respite from monkeys for a bit. We were all worried at the beginning about avoiding looking them in the eye, but it wasn’t a big problem. It should be said that even if you don’t have any food on you, the monkeys may think you do if you’re opening a bag. We unzipped a backpack for a bandaid and they all started to approach us. They weren’t violent, but it can be a bit disconcerting. We didn’t see them stealing anything from anyone - not as big a threat as the sneaky monkeys at Uluwatu temple! They are obviously well fed and seem quite content crawling around on the walls of the temple. Get ready to take 1000 photos and videos!

We retained Wayan because of the good reviews on TripAdvisor and he did not disappoint. Wayan was excellent in his driving skills and accompanied us as a guide. We visited Ulun Danu Temple and Tirtu Empul Temple and he made the visit meaningful.

We had about 5 hours between leaving our ship to getting to airport. Wayan did a great job providing us the options for seeing key Bali sights. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We highly recommend him for a tour or just simply transfer.
