Cobbold Gorge is well worth the visit particularly as the facilities once there are excellent and well maintained. The surprise was an Infinity pool adjacent to the restaurant and bar which was not expected in such a remote area. The tour of the Gorge and surrounds was excellent and very informative and the guide Ian was obviously very well versed... More

Worth the trip out on dirt roads to see this wonderful gorge. The tour was excellent and most informative so learnt a lot about the history of this area and plants. The Infinity swimming pools have the Wow factor and the amenities in the caravan park are great. Staff and tour guides really friendly and also climbed to the top... More

Stumbled across this magical place. Beautiful infinity pool overlooking the dam. Staff very friendly. The tour around the gorge was one of the best we have ever done. Ron the guide was just perfect: friendly, funny, informative. The boat trip was spectacular. Accomodstion basic but comfortable and adequate. Lovely hot showers with good water pressure

Road in from Forsayth was very muddy but it had been raining for two days! We had accommodation in a Boundary Hut and this was excellent. Great views sitting out the front in the supplied chairs. It was a bit cold for swimming but the pool looked terrific. Dinners at the bar/restaurant were excellent and reasonably priced. Tour of Cobbold... More

Thanks Kevin H for your wonderful review and letting other travellers know about your experience with Cobbold Gorge Tours. Yes, the road in from Forsayth would be a bit muddy after 2 days of rain, but luckily we are in the uplift country which allows for the water to run away very fast and allowing our access open. Great to... More

I went on the full day tour, "the ultimate outback adventure". I've been on a lot of tours all over Australia, but this was outstanding! The guide, Ron, was the best, and it only gets better because of the small groups they put together. Plenty of room for questions. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, and there was plenty to see... More

We stayed at the Cobbald Gorge village in the camping ground. It is a very well organised enterprise and well worth a visit. The facilities are excellent, these included a modern ablution block, shop with gifts and limited provisions. A restaurant and bar and a very attractive swimming pool that overlooks a Billabong that changes colour according to the time... More

Myself and my 2 children (4 and 6 yrs) and my parents visited Cobbold gorge tours and village 2 weeks ago. My Mazda 6 easily managed the dirt road from Forsyth and checking in was straightforward. Our accommodation in the roustabout rooms were pretty average and very basic. The aircon works well though! Basic as in comfortable queen bed, but... More

We visited the Gorge off the Savannahlander on 24 June. Of all the side trips we did off the train, this was the real find. The Gorge is small and intimate with the sandstone sides literally inches from the boat. Going up in the early morning was special with the low light and the day just getting going. The guide,... I have been to a lot of gorges, but I have never experienced anything like Cobbold. The only way to experience the gorge is via the guided tour. This three hour tour is excellent, and worth the $90 odd. You are picked up from reception and driven over a bush track throough Robin Hood station. The first real eye-opener is... More

I wanted to give 5 stars but it isn't really fair. The tour was great and informative and I did enjoy it. However, we didn't see any fresh crocs and it was kind of sad because we've been looking forward to that. The weather was great and the boat ride through the gorge was very calming and scenic.
