I was awestruck by the sacrifice. I thought of my father and family members who fought in WWII. So many gravestones. This is an important place to visit to remember.

We found in France, Belgium and The Netherlands so many cemetaries where the fallen are honoured and buried when the battle took place and where they lost their lives. Row upon row of young men of all nationalities, a whole generation. Emotional whether it was...More

It is hard to walk though the cemetery without chocking up at the terrible cost of the battle to gain a foothold in Europe. Every grave holds a true hero!

Part of a visit of the Normandy landing beaches. One of the highlights of such a tour, with rows upon rows of simple white crosses. The rest of the site is also well worth the visit.

Being here was very emotional. The memorial is incredible. To see all of the crosses just gives a sense of the amount of lives lost during WWII in this area.

Try to plan your day to be here at 5:00 PM to hear taps as the flags are lowered. You’ve seen it in pictures and movies, but until you’ve seen it in person you haven’t felt it. My salute was insignificant for what these wonderful...More

I was amazed at how perfect it all was. A beautiful outstanding immense monument on the cemetery grounds. Perfect lawns, mindblowing amount of white crosses, beautiful gardens. The whole experience was perfect. Parking lot not too far away. Free entry
