Sean took us on a highlights tour of the Normandy invasion centering around Omaha beach. We didn’t have specific focus areas but he did tailor to be appropriate and understandable for our 10 year old history buffs. It was an outstanding day and he did a fantastic job of connecting events and real people to monuments and places (making it feel more “real”), and answering *all* our kids questions while making sure to leverage their prior knowledge before covering a new topic. I know he does tours for all kinds of groups but I’d also recommend him for families with kids. My sons said they will never forget today and all they saw and learned

Sean delivered a bespoke tour based around some specific tank engagements - delivered in a very professional and prepared manner and brought the books we had read previously to life. Sean's understanding of the manner in which the detail actions fitted into the overall battlefield strategy was second to none - we would not hesitate to use Sean's services again and in our view is extremely good value for money.

My tow sons and I have just finished our sixth trip to Normandy. Four of the trips have been shared with Sean Claxton. We have become good friends in the process. Without a doubt he is a very accomplished historian on WW II. Each visit has had new adventures and findings. He never ceases to amaze us. Currahee to Sean.

My wife and spent the one day to give the landing sites with Sean. We were both moved by the experience and believe that Sean was able to make the battle personal by sharing stories of those involved. Neither my wife or I had a relative in the Battle of Normandy or are significant history buffs. However, we both wanted to see the sight of the battle. We let Sean pick the agenda and he showed all of the important American sights as well as the German cemetery and some out of the way places only an experienced guide would know. His knowledge of both German and Allied tactics and stories made the sacrifice all the more tangible. I highly recommend his services. I wish I had more time with him.
