What a beautiful place to visit! You can walk here from boario terme it'll take about 40 minutes depending on which route you take. It isn't well signposted but we'll worth the hike up the maintain to reach it.
The lake is warm, clean, beautiful. I swam the length of it (about 1200m return). We hired kayaks, paddle boards, pedaloo, and there is an option to do a bit of horse riding around the lake and mountains. There are toilets on site, and a sheltered area to keep out of the sun. The restsurant/cafe did delicious food. Their chicken pesto was to die for. Highly recommend a visit. On the way back we took a different route, more scenic. Longer and harder but you get to see the waterfall which was well worth it.

The walk up to Lago Moro is the only thing you absolutely should do if you ever have a spare day in Boario Terme. From the center the walk will take you maximum one hour each way. The walking path is both beautiful and easy to find. If you feel like expanding the trip, the small trip around the lake when you reach the top is perfect for really taking in the whole view. On the way back you will even find a small cafe and a learning centre for children where they can discover the nature and fauna around Lago Moro. A wonderful place to spend your day.

Gorgeous lake definitely worth the view. Came on holidays to boario in January and would not recommend again as the time of year or perhaps it was since covid. Everything at the lake is closed. A long hike to the top and not a cafe for a coffee or a bottle of water. Gorgeous scences at the lake but very difficult to get to. We cylced from boario de terme trying to follow the cycle path and its very difficult. No sign posts on lots of the journey and lots of dead ends, small roads and no directions. If not for locals walking we would not have found the lake at all. When walking the steep road to the lake there are very few signs to tell you your on the right path or about any of the landscape your walking through. No distance from the top or info about the other routes as there's a road route and a hiking route up the valley to the lake. Perhaps summer would be different with more shops and facilities open.

I've travelled all around the world to more than 60 countries. I'm originally from the nearby of lago moro and it's the best place to swim during the summer, while in autumn, spring and winter is nice to walk all around the lake as the landscapes are unique.

The drive up from the valley is steep; you can park beside the church. The footpath around the lake is very peaceful, and goes through villages and fields, and takes about an hour. The path is mixed, tarmac in places, but rough boulders descending through the woods. There is a lovely cafe overlooking the lake if you need to stop for coffee/ice cream! (and is best placed near the end of your walk if you go clockwise)

Went for a swim in the lake. Absolutely stunning. Very quiet, lovely place amongst nature with beautiful surrounding views.
One of my favourite places we visited on holiday!

A must see place to visit for nature and tranquility when visiting Boario, best way to see the lake is on one of Sergio's horse treks, great horses and a wonderful host at Il Moro a Cavallo !
