We stopped here to ask questions about Jenever and ended up talking to the lady at the front desk for 20mins. Learned a lot and it also made the tour far more interesting because of the background she gave. Great place.

A walk in the history of Schiedam. Schiedam is build on jenever but most of the distilleries are gone of making different spirits. In the jenever museum they still make the jenever like in the old days. It s also pissible to try it 😉

We learned a lot about the Jenever. We did not try the Jenevers, (it was too early for that!) The temporary exhibition was a bit boring.

The museum is still an occasionally functioning distillery and the aroma proves it. There are some nice displays explaining the ingredients and methods that go into jenever. There is also some information describing the different grades on the market. There are also some other exhibits...More
