Take the road from city of Menton up to the villages. Beautiful drive up the mountains. Free parking at the entrance. And then just walk the pictorial streets. Then climb to the fortress. meet the charming guy who works there. Enjoy!

What a surprise! A 15 minute climb up from St Agnès village takes you to the ruined chateau. It's rather steep so keep young children under a very watchful eye. A friendly lady at the entrance kiosk explained there was no entry charge but donations...More
