I booked for 2 of us (adults ) on the phone, as we wanted something different to do while we were in the area for a few days. We were there in plenty of time to have a cup of tea before our meet and greet with the alpacas. It was a short walk across a field to reach them, males in one field and females in another. The females weren't interested in eating carrots, so we went to meet the males. We had a guide who told us how to feed the alpacas carrots which were provided. There was also an opportunity to take photos. We loved meeting the guys, and would recommend. Just to say, we accessed the farm by public transport with a short walk into Burmarsh Road on the right just past the level crossing.

Had a brilliant time at Alpaca Annie’s. Our trek was done by Ali who was lovely and very informative. I would thoroughly recommend this activity along with visiting the Fennel cafe on site as the cakes were homemade and were amazing.

My wife was bought this experience for 2, tbh I was sceptical. How wrong I was, a really enjoyable afternoon. The animals are adorable and very docile. Walking them is strangely relaxing. We had a lovely leisurely stroll across fields, and along the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch railway line. Our guide Sam was very enthusiastic and informative. I am keen to do this again soon.
As an aside we finished the afternoon with the most amazing afternoon tea from the on site cafe, it was huge, really tasty and extremely good value.
We would recommend

Due to COVID-19 we had to defer our booking by 15months but it was worth the wait. Our guide Ali had only worked at the farm for one month but she was so knowledgeable and passionate about the alpacas, that we learnt so much. The alpacas were gentle and it was relaxing to walk them. The cafe was also far better then I expected with delicious sandwiches made for us by Marika. Thank you for a great experience. Friends and family are learning about you through our FB photos.

Can’t praise this experience highly enough. The alpacas are adorable, you get to learn lots about them and experience some of the quirky little things that they do. Our guide was so knowledgeable and made the experience educational and fun. And once your trek is finished you then have the added bonus of meeting all the female alpacas who are eagerly awaiting you (well the carrots you have to feed them with). Make time to visit the cafe after your trek for some delicious home made cake and good coffee & tea. And don’t forget to pick up some alpaca socks in the shop their great for summer and winter. All the staff we came across in the shop, cafe, reception and guide were all friendly, helpful and made our experience even more memorable. Clearly staff and alpacas are a very contented lot. And whilst we still have COVID restrictions you can rest assured guidelines are followed to ensure all are safe.

Finally got to go due to covid and loved it ... it was well organised, simple trek and very informative guide, Sam did a great job with her facts and stories. My brother/wife were not sure, nut loved it too ... especially the large slice of homemade cake in the cafe afterwards. I had the pleasure of walking with Billy, and it was so relaxing and destressing ... highly recommend to all ages :)

We took our almost three year old for a family day out. The aim was for something a bit different to do together and that was exactly what we got.
We went on the trek with Lara who was very knowledgeable. She kept everyone safe and well organised with appropriate alpacas for everyone, they definitely have personalities so this was important!
Our daughter is quite good at walking and was able to keep up because the alpacas like to stop and nibble the grass quite a lot. The alpacas can be easily spooked so carrying her on our shoulders wasn't an option.
Half way through and after the trek we were able to feed the alpacas (a some rescued llamas) carrots which was fun. They love food!
Unfortunately the cafe was full afterwards and as storm Dennis was coming in we couldn't sit outside. I'd recommend booking. We found a pub close by instead and that was great.
I'd recommend wellies, layered clothes, only go if you and your party can keep up with the walking and book if you want to eat at the cafe.
An unusual, but fantastic trip!

Great little coffee shop/tea-room. Sam was very accommodating with my last-minute booking and produced the best kids' lunch boxes that I have seen. My sandwich was delicious too!
We enjoyed our meal on the comfy seats outside and will certainly return. Maybe for brunch, as it is amazing .

Bought for my boyfriend for Christmas, was a bit of a joke present but we made a weekend of it and stayed in Folkestone. We had a brilliant date walking the pacas, my boyfriend had the gorgeous Stupot, and I had TrickyDicky. The wind was high and it was super muddy but that added to the fun! Can’t imagine this is much fun for little ones as they aren’t allowed to hold the lead and you don’t pet the pacas. The staff were amazing, gutted I didn’t get names but there was a very lovely young female member of staff that answered all of our questions very enthusiastically and made the trip even more interesting and fun! We had absolutely fantastic food at the cafe inside the shop and would advise getting there at least 1hr early so that you can enjoy the food before you leave! We also had two scones put by for when we arrived back from the treck! Truly brilliant experience thank you Alpaca Annie great memories 🦙

I can’t believe it’s taken me a whole month to review this wonderful place but I have been telling all my friends and family how much we loved it! We visited as a family as a birthday trip for my husband. The two parents had our own alpacas, Bertie and Fennel, and our daughters helped lead. We were all absolutely charmed by the alpacas with their wonderful personalities and loved hearing all about them from Lara. It really put a smile on everyone’s faces.
Having read reviews online we decided an afternoon tea at the onsite cafe was a must. Wow! It was magnificent! :-) Our girls had a spectacular tea to themselves and we had a grown-up version.
We also got them some lovely alpaca wool toys from the shop who were promptly named Bertie and Fennel!
Thank you so much for a lovely experience.

Does anyone know if it's possible to visit with a toddler? She'll be 19 months old when we plan to go. We have a red letter voucher for a family day out, so I think it's just for a meet and greet, not a trek. Thanks.
Hi - I just wondered if the walk was accessible file wheelchairs? Thanks

Hello. It really was a trek over the fields so my first thought would be ‘depends on the type of wheelchair’ but probably no. That said - they were really lovely and so I think it’s worth calling them to discuss your needs.
Can you just turn up and see some alpacas? :)

Hi
Yes you will be able to see them they are in a field, near the shop, but you won’t be able to feed them .
I would pop into the shop first just so they know you ate there.
Or just give them a ring as they maybe out walking.
If you go on the Dymchurch little train it goes passed them as well.
Hope this helps.

Hi Carol,
It just so happened that I visited today. They are open New Years Eve. Only one trek at 12 noon, depending on the weather. They suggested you book early. (Go on 'Groupon' and get a half price voucher).
