Tree Surfers is about adventure for the whole family, don't just get close to nature, be a part of it. Test yourself on our tree-top high ropes course that takes you 70 foot high into the canopy. Be blown away by zip wires, Tarzan swings and our leap of faith, all interwoven to the canopy trail. Afterwards, if you are brave enough have a go at the Zipline. At Tree Surfers you can hire mountain bikes to explore 30kms of woodland trails ideal for adventurous families. Or try archery with one of our instructors in the woodland range. Tree Surfers is at The Tamar Trails Centre, the gateway to the Tamar Trails. Pop into the Centre for maps, advice, and information and relax in the wonderful Beech cafe. The all year round cafe has a great menu of hot food and cream teas made with local produce and lots of love!

4 of us visited and were very impressed by Max (?) who was very attentive, helpful and patient with us oldies. Everything was on time and there was no waiting around. Unfortunately I can’t same the same about the owner who was most unhelpful when it came to getting a refund due to 1 person being unable to make it. We contacted them weeks in advance to change it from 5 to 4. On the website it says you will be refunded if giving the correct notice. However When I phoned I was told it was at the owners discretion and she would phone me back to confirm. I never heard from her and despite contacting them 4 times by telephone and twice by email (my friend that couldn’t make it also contacted them several times) I never did get a response from her. Eventually, several weeks later, Richard, who had tried to be helpful and obviously had his hands tied did refund our money. Be warned if you have to cancel/change your numbers!!

We have done the junior tree surfers course a handful of times now over the last couple of years and I must say it is always fantastic. The lads running the activity are absolutelty brilliant with the kids, they are fun, and look after them extremely well. An hour and a half up in the trees is well worth the £18 per child, I recommend this to anyone in the area over the holidays or during the weekend. Always finished with a tasty treat at the cafe and a walk around the trails. I am sure we will be back again very soon.

We arrived at the venue not realising that you had to pay to park (luckily it can paid online via RingGo). Received a warm greeting from the woman on the booking desk and my girls were given the harnesses. The man who took us to the trees though had zero personality, didn’t interact with us at all and then strided way ahead of us which was a little rude but also quite amusing. The girls were given clear instructions for the Big Zip and they headed off up the tree. My youngest who is 6 had to wait for ages though to get up the tree on her second zip wire session as the instructor had disappeared. There was also an issue at the end of the zip wire as it was difficult to unclip the girls, and I had to quickly find another instructor (the man with the awesome bubbly personality who clearly loves his job) to help us. However overall the girls had an amazing time, and we will definitely come back again. Lovely cafe too.

We visited the junior tree top walk, we were very disappointed, maybe we have been spoilt, having gone to go ape in a couple of places. The course was so short and no real variety on the walkways. My children spent more time waiting on a platform than actually walking across bridges. They were bored. I would probably suggest course is for 4-7year olds. The zip wire was so slow aswell. We have been to places that have 3 different routes so if one looks busy you just clip on to a different one at bottom of the steps.
The guy supervising did a good job.
I really like tree top places as an activity and this junior course has got the potential to be much more exciting with some more work.

Fantastic- my 12 and 10 years old tried the junior course- my 10 year old was very nervous, but he did it and gained confidence with each go- he was zooming round by the end! They were very lucky to have the whole course to themselves and managed to do it 10 times in the hour. It was very reasonably priced and I think we were very lucky to have the place to ourselves. Staff were very polite and friendly too .

Booked this as my 13yo and 15yo really wanted to do it, I wasnt so keen - but it was really good fun. We booked the 3 main high rope courses, each was different and each bought its own challenges. The staff were ace and next time (definitely going again!) we will make sure we can spend the day there, as the location has lots of walking / cycling too

A few minor issues. I had a few web gliches trying to book but got there in the end, the way the equipment is built in to the trees isnt the most tree friendly either. Some fixtures and woodwork was looking a little tired. Make sure you have some change to pay for parking too

Just finished our archery session, it was absolutely amazing. Alex was so friendly and provided lots of advice on how to get a decent shot. I would highly recommend tree surfers for a fun day out and wanted Alex to get the recognition he deserves ☺️🏹

Absolutely fantastic day out. I booked my son into the Adult tree surfers experience. Very organised, staff really helpful and knew exactly what they were talking about. Felt safe as staff wore masks when fitting safety harness etc.
Our instructor, Bertie, was brilliant. Explained everything really well and was super friendly. My son had a fantastic experience, definitely buzzing after it, my husband and I could walk underneath/near by and take photos etc.
Definitely worth the money.
Roads very narrow but beautiful scenery.

I booked my teenagers (15 and 17) into Tree Surfers during our week in Devon. The instructor who did the initial briefing was very good and my children were looking forward to getting onto the course.

However, too many people were in each group and it meant A LOT of waiting around. My children were at the back of the group and didn't get onto the first section for about 20 minutes or so. There were members of staff dotted around but some seemed disinterested in their job.

As the courses were so busy, it took my children well over an hour to complete the first course. There was a long wait to start the second course so they went straight to the third. Again, they waited a long time to start due to the family in front being extremely slow. My teens found parts of this course challenging and not particularly enjoyable. We have visited much better high ropes courses and wouldn't return or particularly recommend. However, considering there are three courses to complete, it is good value for money.

Pre-booked this activity for my son and his friend (both 16) whilst we were on holiday.
Friendly staff, good , clear instructions and the boys enjoyed the activity.
They did end up going around the course 3 times as it is not very long and they were done quickly. Also the final zip wire is very short, which they weren't that impressed with, but for the price it was worth it.
The place is not well signposted, there is only 1 sign right off the main road and no further signs on the drive down to tree surfers. You follow the signs for the Tamar Trail. Also you have to pay for parking (£2) which I wasn't aware of and don't remember seeing this mentioned anywhere on the website.
