Lovely play park and walk

Lovely park. Nice walk around the lake and good for buggies and bikes. Good play park with lots of choice for all ages. Went to the splash park the day it opened and it was good to see it open after all this time.

Beautiful open space (shame about all of the bikes)
Jun 2021 • Family
Brilliant open space, decent play area for the kids but can get really busy. Lots to do for entertainment.
The walk around the park is lovely, lots of dog walkers and parents with kids.
A few to many older people and adults on bikes. Feel like you are constantly trying to move out of the way.
Recommend for the family to enjoy, we tend to spend 4/5 hours there.

The day we went was a free for all full of dogs off their leads running round without their owners able to control them don't even get me started on the dogs mess not picked up in the park. This isn't a family park it's a disgrace

Best Park in the area to spend some quality time with Nature
Nov 2020 • Solo
Danson park is by far my number 1 choice when it comes to outdoor activities in Bexleyheath.
It is very spacious and well laid out with all the facilities one may need.
One can also use Danson House for private functions.
There are boating facilities as well but these weren't available due to covid.
There is on site parking as well incase you wish to drive to the park.
The ponds and streams are a great attraction and are home to many birds and ducks.
There is a cafe that is serving food and one must try it, their bagels and hot chocolate are too good!
One must visit the park and see just how peaceful and relaxing it is!

Huge park
Sep 2020
Lovely park with so many different areas, play but for the kids, formal gardens, big lake, plenty of open space. Car parking is free during the week and £3 at weekends. You can also park on the street for free. I saw two cafes one was more formal and did proper meals the other did coffee and sandwich type things.

Great large park
Aug 2020 • Friends
I’ve known the park for many years and it still offers a great space for families and friends to spend time in. The lake has row boats in the summer, the Old Mansion House is now a council building and has a tea room. There is also the Stables restaurant. The only disappointment is that the sectioned gardens that were once so well kept have been let go and run down. I guess that’s due to the council cutting back on spending.

Great park with lots to see
Aug 2020 • Solo
Love this park, there’s a smashing lake with lots of activities that can be booked, a beautiful house with tea room, family area, swing park, pub (The Stables), pretty flower beds, tennis courts, a bowling green and loads of room to relax.

We are blessed to live only a short walk away and use it regularly.

Smashing open space for all to enjoy

Three Cheers to (TED) Danson !!!

I have always liked Danson Park, so I decided to visit as I was at a loose end.

The park is accessible by car, but I decided to take public transport, as it stops right outside,as you enter the park take a picture of the map as I did, you can’t get lost but always handy just incase see picture below.

I walked up to the danson register office, a wonderful setting to get wed !!, it also caters for a tea bar with stunning views over the lake, you can also hire this out for birthdays and special occasions see my picture below.

There is also a Old English Garden to wander around, and you can also book a table at the Danson Stables pub and restaurant.

I passed down the hill, and took the path that takes you around the lake, again you get nice view back up the hill, there are plenty of seats to sit on, or if you fancy it take the path up to the boathouse, where you can take out a pedalo to take in a different scenery all together.

I declined on this occasion and exited the park and catched the bus back.

So in summary get your DANSON shoes on a wallow in this wonderful park for couple of hours, go on you know you want to .
