Great place, though not touristic. Beautiful lakes ready for a swimm. You can cool off anywhere and the road through the park is awesome. Absolutely a parc you have to visit.

These are lakes, some of which think they are rivers, formed from deep aquifers underground. Cycling, walking, diving, snorkelling, kayaking, all available here in beautiful surroundings.

These are a chain of pools (lagoons) varying in size over quite a large area. Some have beaches and there is no shortage of bars and restaurants. There is boating activities in some. And lots of swimmers and picnicers.

Perfect visit for a hot summer day! I would say a car is required to access the lagunas. Almost all of them are very shallow this year. They waters are a nice green blue colour, and they are not overly busy like a typical beach!

I love the lagunas de Ruidera, but this last winter was very dry and neither of the two cascades are running. It is still a lovely spot, but not as stunning as it is when there is plenty of water. We visited it recently and...More

We live on the Costa Blanca so thought going here in April would be ideal after the winter rain etc. What we found was that being 900m high and inland, the seasons are two months behind the Coastal Costa Blanca, hence they still had log...More

Hi there maybe a bit late. You can take a daily bus from Madrid to Ruidera from Mendez Alvaro bus station in Madrid. You can check in the station website, the company running this service is Samar.
