It's so fun to explore, you will not regret your decision on going to Pickens. It's a far drive, and you'll have to go over a bridge if you want to get there. It is haunted, if you don't believe in ghosts, you may end...More

Went early (8:20ish a.m.) and museums/staff aren't open or there until 9am.. so we drove halfway down, then turned around, and headed out to explore more of the area. Went back and were pleased we did. The fort was mostly complete and the information was...More

Loved the history here. Geronimo was held here for some time. Small fee to get in the property but it was for a three day pass. Camping swimming fishing all in one spot.

There is a fee to get through a gate. I believe it was either $10 or $15 per car.

We were there in late October. It was cool, but we were still able to comfortably walk the beach. We didn't swim, but still enjoyed our time there.
