Well-preserved temple in the middle of the city

This is a small, beautiful, well-preserved old temple in the middle of the city. We paid a short visit since temple was very busy with worshippers.

Sanxia Zushi Temple 三峽清水祖師廟 offers the best example of carved stone pillars in Taiwan. Longshan Temple 龍山寺 pales in comparison. Other architectural details can keep a photographer busy and excited for hours.

The whole area of this temple is great as it is next to the old part of town which not long ago was restored to its original look.
