The beach front is very good. Well maintained by DSDA. You will like it. They play rabindrasangeet, so if you like it, you will enjoy. Otherwise, ignore the music.

Digha town was developed to attract tourists to it's sea beach. However to protect the town from soil erosion the Govt Dept. have spoiled the beauty of the beach. It has, been covered with large stones and this stone cover stretches up to a large area. Visitors can't walk easily on the stones nor can walk on the sand. There are some areas... More

This beach doesn't have blue waters like Puri or Goa, nonetheless, it is quite impressive and especially favorite among the common Bengali crowd for taking a soak in the Bay of Bengal waters. Be careful during the high tides, as there are plenty of cases reported of people being careless in the water and being washed away by the sea.

The old Digha charm is still there. There is a great beach without the rocks just behind sea hawk hotel, where u can still have fun.

Believe me I never felt that unsafe before that I felt in New Digha . It's not at all a place where you can bring your family , the local people are very much dishonest and goon type . Local guys ,shopkeepers and rickshaw pullers always stare at girls/ women and their belongings and pass very comments on girls in... More

The golden sunset.. With the golden sand.. Picking up cowries ,shells and the items to buy here makes digha a memorable place to visit .. New digha is awesome . Bathing is compulsory or else the charm is lost .. Do visit here
