In a National Park that can feel crowded during popular times, this is the hike you want to do! We did this hike over Christmas weekend and only saw one other hiker. Other reviews mentioned seeing wildlife... lizards, mountain goats, big horned sheep... and our...More

We did this hike in July so we only came across a few pools that still had water in it. The pools had huge tadpoles and frogs in them. There was nobody on this hike. Most of this hike was on slick rock. We saw...More

This hike is unknown to the crowds. We did it in the morning and came across only one other person upon our exit. The parking for this trail is 0.9 mile after the "small" Tunnel (coming from Zion). Cross the road (carefully) and the trail-head...More

The many pools trail is about .9 mile from the east end of the tunnel on the north side of the road. The hike is as short as you want it to be and features beautiful red sandstone. Keep an eye out for cactus. Probably...More

I found this hike after Googling “Zion hike rock clambering kids”. We were looking for something more adventuresome than following a well worn & maintained trail crowded with tourists, yet still manageable for a 6 year old and a couple 9 year olds. This was...More

A little known trail. To find park at the pullout with portapotties and walk 100 yards towards mt caramel. On the left is trail heading down. Its between two trees. Lovely hike.

This park is lovely and has more trees and plants than other parks around. The trail is easy to follow. It is also good to see the wildlife. We had a couple of snakes cross our path! They slithered away fast, before I could get...More

Every day in Zion is different and there is so much to see - this is probably my fav National Park because of its countless secrets and amazingly diverse places. The Many Pools Trails is simply delightful if you are limited by time or even...More

great spot-- had trouble finding it but that's part of the charm. There isn't a trail, just a "wash" to wander up. It's lovely and the best part was there were NO other people there on an October Saturday!

I wanted something simple and less traveled after doing the Narrows earlier - wasn't disappointed - was able to see some big horn sheep after as well! It is pretty inclined the whole way but one the red stone/rock so not difficult on the feet!
