Super easy, fun trail

We stopped off here after Angels landing. It's an easy 1mile hike that leads you to emerald pools. Nice walk where you can see some pretty stuff. It's not strenuous and is pretty... read more

You can take the Grotto Trail between the Zion Lodge shuttle stop and the Grotto shuttle stop. Either way, the Grotto is a lovely place to have a picnic. There are restrooms there, as well as lots of picnic tables...with beautiful canyon views all around. The day we were there, we enjoyed watching several wild turkeys wander through the picnic... We got off at the Grotto stop and hiked back to the lodge. The hike is somewhat shaded and a fairly easy trail. As with most trails there are a few spots that can be tricky for some. But if you want to take a nice short hike this is a great one.

Nice walk on an easy trail, but it's not paved, fyi. The entrance is right near where the shuttles come in, by the main lodge.

This was an easy hike next to the main highway while enroute to the Zion Lodge. As we neared the Lodge, there was a small meadow between us and the road, with fennel-like bushes. Lo and behold, the butterflies had decided to dine on these bushes today. There must have been about fifteen butterflies fluttering about along with a like... More

We were a little disappointed about the Narrows. Too many people! We decided to walk the Grotto trail (stop 6) and did not see a single soul (except for deers) for many miles, much better!

More a stroll than a hike in itself it allows access to small waterfall. We use the Grotto Trail to access the Emerald Pools trail, and loop around back to the lodge. Maybe an ice cream at the end

The Grotto trail was fairly easy and enjoyable overall. The middle and upper falls are a bit more challenging.

This hike is ridiculously short and easy. ANYBODY could do it. It also has boards going across the creek which makes it fun for the kids. After very little effort you get to enjoy a nice waterfall. The water was freezing but the kids played in it and had a great time. The only bad thing was, even though we... More

A nice little stroll with a great view. We were able to see a deer eating directly from a tree. We had our 8 year old with us and she enjoyed the walk
