It's the best way to visit the Zion National Park. All you have to do is wait for the bus, jump on it, hike and wait for the next bus. If you're guest of one of the hotels in the park, there's another bus connection for free, so you can enjoy this park without moving your car. This is eco-frienly... More

The shuttle service in Zion is excellent (besides their need for A/C) TIP: Wear shorts long enough so that your legs don't sweat all over the seats. The free shuttles run every 7 mins or less and make 9 stops in the park. You can enter and exit at all stops in both directions. Expect lines and busy parking lots... More

Different times of the year Zion does not allow people to drive their vehicles into all areas. If you want a short guided tour take the bus and get on/off at various locations. The driver presents a short narration of the parks history. It's amazing how many years this park has gone through changes from "Mother Nature". The continual eroding,... More

This is one of the best traffic control systems in a national park! The scenic road is only accessible through the shuttle system. They have made it fantastically easy to use and have stops at the visitor center as well as five other stops along the scenic Highway and stops in the town of Springdale for those staying in local... We had informatve drivers, that provided more information than the recorded tape. Ran every five to seven minutes.

I normally can't stand shuttles, but this is an easy experience that reduced congestion in the canyon.

These buses get very busy in the summer. If you can walk from the visitor centre to the first stop, about a mile and a half to the museum, you will probably save yourself a 40 minute queue in the morning. Often standing room only, but they arrive frequently and stop at all the places you need.

The wait to get on can be long, but we never waited more than 20 minutes. And it's worth it to have no cars in the canyon. It is quiet and clean. You just hop on and enjoy the wonders around every bend. Get off if you like, or take it the 40 minutes to the end and then 40... More

Be warned: We waited nearly an hour for the main ride in. Once we were in, and to get from point to point, it was much more efficient.
