A last minute decision to stay left us pleasantly surprised at the room we got. We did not request air-conditioning as the night temps even in July were nice enough to allow us to sleep with the windows open comfortably. Maybe this is why we were able to get a room with an amazing view..no trees in front, a private... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and while the location is great, the room was not. The room itself was large enough and clean but the bed was terrible - a hard, squeaky full size bed. Plus the walls in our cabin were paper thin and we could hear the guest snoring in the next room. All... More

Nice gift shop and coffee place with excellent clean bathroom facilities. Nice but expensive restaurant with some vegetarian choices with beautiful mountain views.

Let's face it. The reason for being at Skylands is the location which is exceptional - wonderful views, beautiful scenery, and being in a national park the commercial development is minimal. If you step back from that and look at what the Skylands services are like it's a different picture. As with so many places the management has been outsourced... More

Just the place to sit and enjoy nature. Hike, read or just sit. all are appropriate. Just relax and smell everything.

It was a nice place for being rustic and price wise was bit high for being a resort. Food was good but service alittle slow but not bad.

There are many good things to be said about Skyland. The setting is awesome and opportunities to see wildlife abound. Deer roam all around the area, and we saw several bears as well. Hiking in this area is wonderful. The dining room offered good selections and the service was efficient. On the down side, our room was more than a... More

We stayed here on two occasions and enjoyed both buildings. The rooms are very spartan and old fashioned, but the beds are very comfortable. Remember, you're here for the views and the hiking!!
