Lester is great with Scouts! We have used him a couple of other times in the past with great success. This time we contracted with him to help Scouts earn the Climbing Merit Badge. Everyone had a fun time, stayed safe, and exceeded their comfort zone to enjoy the experience. I always enjoy working with Lester as a Scouter because his focus is where it should be in our program, on the youth. He interacts well with them, keeps them informed, and challenges them all while helping them learn a new skill. WildGuyde has become my goto for caving and climbing. I know he offers many other opportunities so check them out to support your Scouting program.

Great experience caving on a farm near the Shenandoahs. Adam was very well-presented, and did a great job of making sure everyone was equipped, prepared, and understood what to do at each step. Our group of 12 (3 adults and 9 boys as young as 10 yrs of age) made it through a two hour caving trip with no falls or injuries, and having had a great time. Highly recommended!

After a year and a half of off and on climbing indoors, I was excited to climb outside. Lester was the perfect guide and led my family on a fantastic climbing adventure. All of our group had a great time including two who had never climbed before. The spot he took us to near Luray was perfect for us. The views were amazing, and he pointed out some wildlife along the way including a copperhead (who didn't bother us at all). It was the highlight of my vacation, and I'm already trying to figure out when I can go on another climbing adventure with Lester

My husband and I ended up getting one-on-one instruction from Lester for outdoor survival skills. As amateur hikers wanting to start to go on backpacking trips, Lester taught us essential skills, including knot tying/shelter building, fire building, map reading and navigation. He was very knowledgeable and I really appreciated how patient he was with us. I learned exactly what I wanted to and feel a lot more confident spending a few days out in the wilderness.

For the second year in a row, I brought a group of friends/members of the outdoor club I help run in Philadelphia down to West Virginia for an adventure weekend over the July 4th holiday. Climbed the Via Ferrata at Nelson Rocks, Kayaked along the Shenandoah River in Virginia, hiked in the area, and swam in the North Fork (south branch of the Potomac River). We also engaged Lester - owner and chief outdoorsman from Wild Guyde Adventures to spend the day with us spelunking, with a short hike and lunch break in between the two caves. I cannot, CANNOT, recommend Lester any more than this - he's simply the best outdoor guide I've ever met. Period. He's easy to work with, funny, thorough, thoughtful, and puts everyone at ease. While we did not do a extremely difficult cave several folks were apprehensive about the experience going in and Lester put them at ease while engaging and educating the group (in a way that adults can appreciate - not lectures, not boring). If you are planning a trip for family, friends, clubs, etc. in the Shenandoah Valley or West Virginia, contact Lester ASAP. From spelunking to rock climbing to a ton of other events - Lester's your Guyde (see what I did there) for outdoor adventures!!!! (Also worthy to note, the climb guides at Nelson Rocks (aka the Via Ferrata in WV) all know and love Lester - which says a lot since most rock climbers are not the easiest people to please!)
