This is a great scenic drive starting up in the Sequoia forest all the way to the roads end area at the bottom of the canyon. There are a lot of nice overlooks into the canyon to stop at and the drive is relatively easy....More

It is a long ride but well worth it in my eyes. Saw really nice waterfalls and then the river along the road when you reach the bottom. Simply beautiful.

Beautiful scenery! There were lots of places to pull over and enjoy the rushing Kings River. We enjoyed stops at both Grizzly and Roaring River Falls. Zumwalt Meadow was gorgeous - reminded us of Yosemite Valley.

This waterfall is about a 40 minute drive from Kings Canyon but don't miss this. Since there is not much to see in Kings Canyon there are 2 waterfalls on this road and worth the drive.

Kings canyon has so much to offer. Meadows, raging rivers and falls. Several nice facilities for food and bathroom stops. Follow the road to the top to look down into the canyon and then down to the bottom of the canyon and river. Interesting rock...More

Long and winding road, perhaps among the curviest I have ever driven. Hang tight and pay attention to the road rather than the scenery. Use the frequent pull outs to stop and view the granite cliffs, meadows and waterfalls. This is not a quick romp...More

A great drive in and out- it is worth the time and effort to go into the canyon to see all of the views available. The waterfalls and meadows are incredible. Bring your lunch and enjoy a day exploring.

Beautiful views of the mountains with plenty of places to stop and take pictures. We almost didn’t check it out since we were only in the park for 1 day. So glad the park ranger we spoke with at the ranger station suggested we check...More

Well worth the drive. Part of the road in the park was under construction but was still worth the 20 or so minute delay

Easy lay-bys all the way along the route for pics, information and wonderful views. Well worth it - at the end there are some easy and delightful trails, which includes a beautiful meadow over seen by rocky sentinels - very dramatic. The you have the...More

Some do and others are scenic vistas. It’s a crazy winding road into Kings Canyon. Plus, what you go down you must wind your way back up.

I believe it is hwy 180 too. I'm not sure exact mileage, it took us about 2 1/2 hours in good weather to travel through the highway, but note we did make some stops along the way. If you are going to make the effort to... More
