Don't miss the Scenic Drive in Kings Canyon. It is incredible. Stop at all the pull over areas and enjoy. Drive slow and take it all in. This rivals all the other Canyons in the US. We were there in November so luckily the weather was outstanding and no crowds!

Not in the main touristy area, but some of the best vistas and deepest canyons around. End up hiking before you leave too.

A must do, if you really want to experience all of King's Canyon NP. Long scenic drive, over 2 hours down to Road's End with vista stops. Grizzly Falls, King's river, incredible mountain scenes. Almost a whole day of driving and stopping and picnic.

We were just there over the weekend. The drive was winding and scary at times especially going towards Hume Lake and King's Canyon Lodge. It was a muggy day so the scenery was nothing spectacular like what was in the postcards and what other people posted. When we got to King's Canyon Lodge, it was burnt. The gas station and... More

This long, beautiful drive rewards visitors with mountain and river views that rival Yosemite. Be prepared for a curvy, steep mountain road, pack a picnic and bring water. Near the head of the canyon, a trailhead parking lot on the right provides access to beautiful, easy meadow and waterfall hikes. Back country permits are required for longer excursions. The canyon... The drive along the Kings Canyon Scenic Drive lives up to its name. Ride down into the deeeep canyon and enjoy the spectacular scenery.

This drive is thrilling or scary depending on your perspective as you work your way down to the valley floor and the end of the road.

Last year, because of the fires, we could go no further than the General Grant Tree but promised ourselves we would return. Thankfully this year, although the scars remain as does the ever present risk of further fire, we made it all the way to 'Roads End' and it proved to be a journey well worth the wait. The whole... The drive is slow due to the windy hilly roads but that is great because you can take it all in and you never know what to expect around the next corner. We were glad we were in an RV with a toilet as there is nothing along the way until you get to the little village. Beautiful and breathtaking... More

This was a beautiful drive, be forewarned, there are no services until the end of the road. The lodge at the end of the road has some basics as far as food and a small market,
