This was a great way to get an overall tour of Sequoia National Park in one day. Our visit was enhanced by Steve, our tour guide, who was very personable, knowledgeable and passionate about the park’s history, nature and preservation of the area. He efficiently took us to several key areas, pointed out special features, and tailored short hikes to suit our interests and physical abilities. This really added to our enjoyment of our visit and allowed us to make the most out of our time at the park. Sequoia is a beautiful park with giant trees that deserve our reverence, awe-inspiring Sierra scenery and lush meadowlands. We were even were lucky to spot bear near one of the trails. Additionally, we visited on one of the hottest days in July so it was great to be driven around in a well- maintained air conditioned van. For the two of us, the cost was a bit pricey, but can be alleviated if divided among more people as the van can seat several quite comfortably. However, it was well worth the cost for us to have a fully tailored, private guided tour of this caliber in a concise timeframe and I would highly recommend it.

We did the full day private tour and it was every thing we hoped for and more. I can't say enough about our guide Steve. Steve was on time and he managed to pace things perfectly so that we never felt rushed. And while we learned so much about the park, we also shared personal stories about each other which made the day entertaining and fun. As for the park itself, words can't come close to describing it. Sequoia Sightseeing is first class.

My family and I had an excellent tour through Sequoia National Park. Steve was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide who made sure we saw everything during our half day tour. We visited during the middle of the week, so the crowds in the park weren’t an issue at some of the popular sights.

Make sure to bring your camera as wildlife is everywhere. We were lucky enough to see lots of deer and even got to see a sow and her 3 cubs feeding in one of the meadows we stopped at.

Overall we had a great experience and I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sequoia National Park for the first time. Thanks again Steve!

As with the other reviews, Paul has been a delight, as much as Kings Canyon. He just seemed to know every fact and had answer to our questions. He was able to engage our 8 year old as well as the 40 year old. I only wished Sequoia wasn’t closed off due to the wild fires and we were able to spend more time here than just one day. I also think if we had done the tour in summer or fall, we could have seen and done much more within daylight hours.. but all to no fault of Sequoia tours! Will highly recommend engaging Paul if you want to fully enjoy the 2 national parks without needing to worry about loss of data/GPS navigation and learning more about the parks, trees, nature and so much more! Thank you Paul and we’ll love to visit again!

Paul spoiled us on our private full-day tour of Sequoia National Park. The context he added to all we experienced was worth as much as the sights!

Traveling in the big bus was comfortable with grand views on all sides, temperature control, and freedom to stop anywhere, anytime. I appreciated not having to worry about navigation, schedule, or parking, or the anxiety of wondering if we had seen the best of it.

We ate a comfortable lunch on our own at the lodge, and whenever we were ready, moved on. Paul answered our constant flow of questions with enthusiasm, and his stories from his own experience were the best! Gregarious and open, he seemed to know everyone and befriend strangers, so we could take our time when dropped to the Sherman trail, knowing he would be fine to wait or go regardless. A pal driving a snowplow (The likes of which we had never seen!) was cued to put on a show for us of snow thrown to the sky. Paul also arranged for us to visit a neighbor’s llamas and mini horses, and showed us the best spots to hit in town.

When I ran 5 minutes late in the morning as the whole gang shared a single bathroom, he calmed me with the message that “The trees have been waiting for thousands of years... a few minutes won’t make a difference.” Such a great attitude!

We made a family friend and heartily recommend this personal hosting by a local who knows what he’s talking about. His wife was also charming and reassuring when we made the reservation with many questions.

The moment we all favorited was being led into a “cathedral” of giant trees, imagining Paul when he lived in the spot and all that had transpired there. He pointed out new seedlings sprouting that he tried to protect from trampling on the way in, following long shadows to nestle in the curved arch open at base of a Sequoia. We took photos completely alone from crowds, until Paul spotted a young family entering and offered to snap their portrait. Their baby’s open-mouthed grin at us sealed the wonder of the location in the beauty of nature, young and old. It was our awe that remains. An awesome 5-star tour!

We had an amazing half day tour with Steve as our guide. There were eight of us in our party, four adults and four teenagers and tweens. Steve did a great job talking with everyone and asking about individual interests (which the teens really appreciated) and then making sure those things were addressed. As a result, Steve shared lots of park history with us, showed us sites off the beaten path, climbed and hiked along side us pointing out interesting mature trees (like the Giving Tree and the Clara Barton), baby Sequoias, flowers, meadows, and wildlife, along with all the more well known sites, like the General Sherman Tree. He made getting to the sights and trails so easy for us as he handled all the logistics, freeing all of us to enjoy the views and never worry about parking, etc. Highly recommend this tour and Steve as the ultimate guide!

Paul was an absolutely fantastic tour guide! He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and was excited to show us all the different places around the park. He went the extra mile to make sure we were looked after and had the best experience, sharing the history and stories about the park as we drove. Would 100% recommend booking a tour and having the park legend showing you round! Definitely the best way to see the sights, Thank you! 😁

My daughter and I did the full day private tour. Steve was our guide. I can’t say enough amazing things about our tour! I highly recommend this company and suggest requesting Steve as your guide! He provided facts about the history of the park and various landmarks along the way, knew “off the map” sites that enhanced our trip, and was extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding areas as well. Steve was also extremely kind! He assisted with maneuvering my daughter’s wheelchair in/out of the van multiple times throughout the day, and pushed her up/down the incredibly steep mountains! He allowed us to go at our pace and knew exactly which places in the park she could/couldn’t handle due to her special needs. Our day at the Sequoia National Park couldn’t have been better. We even saw bears!! I couldn’t have done this trip without our tour guide. Thanks so much for an absolutely wonderful day!

A visit to SNP is incomplete without this amazing private tour experience! Standing in the presence of the giant trees is humbling and overwhelming; and having Paul as a guide who shared his own personal favorite trees and special locations in the park was the absolute highlight of our trip! Paul and Farrah personalized our experience and offered our family of 4 the opportunity to explore areas both popular and less familiar to visitors. Throughout the experience Paul continuously conveyed a tremendous respect for the Sequoias and a hope for their future. (thank you!) Paul's historical knowledge also gave us a great appreciation for the current management of the SNP.

We took a full-day guided tour with Steve M. It was great to be able to hand off the stressful driving as well as to have someone on hand to snap family pics at each stop. Our guide also knew a lot more about the ecology and history of the park that added much to the experience, and we'd never have known to visit some of the spots he took us. Also, our guide spotted one of the park's Bear Response vehicles and knew that meant a bear would be nearby, which we were able to see thanks to him. All in all, a great value for the money and a greatly enriched Sequoia experience than we would have gotten on our own.
