Never ending Cacti

Beautiful drive through the cacti forest.. saw some wildlife crossing the road so take it easy. Nice in the morning when everything is fresh and it's not too hot.

It is about 8 miles paved drive. It has many vistas and several hiking trails. It is the east side of saguaro national park. If you do not want to go out from the car this loop drive is really great option to get the essence of the cactus and desert. Temperature is really high during day time so we... More

This is a beautiful drive with cutouts in the road to pull off and take pictures or just enjoy the beauty. There are so many cacti for miles and there is a mountain backdrop throughout. The loop is nine miles.

East or west, the Saguaro NP features plenty of scenery and beauty. Just because you saw the West Park going to the Desert Museum (which you should), don't assume the East Park is redundant. The Cactus Forest Drive (8 miles one-way loop) offers fantastic-amazing-unique cacti viewing and good views all-around. Stop and walk some and learn as you go. Go... More

The 8 mile scenic drive is nice by car and so are the hiking trails, but if you have the chance to bike the 8 miles, it is absolutely awesome. There are almost no people here just before sunset (we visited in November), so you have the place virtually for yourself and can enjoy the drive in silence. During sunset,... More

We spent several hours just admiring all the different cacti in the park.ANd also the bushes, and plants. You could just drive the loop in a short time, or relax and stop at all the pullouts, and really look whats there. There are some pivnic spots. There are a few short trails for the less able.

Fun Drive. Amazing how they form and each one is slightly different, and yet all alike. This is a nice drive

We took the loop drive into this national park which was 10$ for a private car. All service personnel was extremely friendly. The scenic drive is about 8 miles long and brings you around thousands of Saguaro cactuses, plenty of plants and - if you are lucky - also some animals.

Also known as Saguaro National Park East. This is a wonderful place to visit even if you're from the area. An 8 mile loop drive with lots of pull outs, couple of hiking trails, mountain biking trail and pic-nic areas. Mostly one way but the great and interesting thing is, when they laid out the road, they followed the natural... More

We made a special detour to see this place. We found the $10 admission to see this place (good for a week and also the west park) well worth it. We took the drive on a quiet September weekday morning and had the place virtually to our self other than the odd cyclist. This meant we could stop virtually anywhere... More
