We got to the park at about 4 in the afternoon. The rangers were helpful and advised of some walks we would be able to complete before sunset. However we ended up spending all of our time on the scenic loop drive instead. The saguaros are beautiful and mesmerising. Plenty of stops along the way to pull over for photos,... More

There are 2 parts to Saguaro NP - east and west, and they are about 40 miles apart. The east (Cactus Forest Drive) is by far the better of the two. The scenery is incredible, especially early or late in the day. Unfortunately, they close the park at sunset, and the gate is locked, so if you want to stay... More

Caught the auto loop drive 1.5 hrs before sunset - amazing sites of the cactus and skies, red/pink against the mountains. Javelina rocks best place to take pics. Be sure you know rules before going - had to cancel our hike because we took dog. Website says dogs welcome, but keep reading. Could not take the 2 mile hike we... More

Not only was this just an awesome loop but we did it on road bikes! This was a bucket list experience and it lived up to everything we had wanted. We actual rode here on the bikes from the Omni so it was a 67 mile ride. Able to take local trails to get here. Once you pass the entrance... More

Such a different experience to do via bike. The trail is a short 8 mile loop. You can rent a bike from Broadway Bikes. The loop is fun w up and down hills. Everywhere you look there is an amazing view. Everything from mountain peaks to Saguaros, with each one having its own personality. Match this with the colors in... More

We visited Saguaro Nation Park for the first time ever as an early morning drive through the Cactus Forest Drive trail. It was amazing. In January, when the park opens in the morning, what an awesome experience. See the sun rise, hear the coyotes howling in the valley, listen to the birds go about their day. Very, very special. We... The drive view points are wonderful and you can see and learn so much from the signs and labels on the plants while in the walking trails.

The best place to see a huge variety of cactus species. Short, but pleasant drive with plenty of stopping places. Well worth the park fee.

Fantastic way to spend an hour seeing all types of cactus from your car. We drove through the park and saw so many cactus. There are pull offs to take fantastic pictures.
