Nice place to stop and stretch your legs after driving the Peak to Peak Highway before entering Estes Park. Rangers present with information. Currently construction on part of the paved path but the detour is not very long. If you want a more strenuous hike take the path to the right up the rocks.

Pleasant enough small lake on the road from Central City. If you've driven the two hours from there its a good place to stretch your legs and has a toilet. As the lake is high up the mountains don't appear as high as some other lakes but its still pretty with a nice footpath. There's parking on both sides of... More

A short walk around Lily lake lasting around 45 to 60 minutes depending on how often you stop for photos. A flat trail can be enjoyed by almost anyone including Mom or Dad with a stroller.

This is a great first day hike to see some pretty scenery without being around crowds. My family and I did this hike on the way to the Estes Park area. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes total, and is good for small children or seniors. You can access this area without having to pay the park fee. Go... More

Unfortunately it's being loved to death. Lake has human trash in it (very very sad) and trails are full of young families and senior couples.

We took a leisurely stroll around the lake. Part of the lakeside trail in undergoing repair so you have to take a detour. There were many ducks in the lake, but we didn't see any other animals.

Beautiful lake area for picnics or walking. Many walking paths and great for hiking! My boyfriend and I were feeling adventurous and decided to go off-path a little and climb higher to get a better view of the nearby mountains. Breathtaking views.

Lily Lake was a welcoming surprise where you can enjoy the beauty of the Rocky Mountains and RMNP without paying the entrance fee. Some of the trail is closed but there are plenty of trials to enjoy or just sit and enjoy the Lake. There re rangers on hand to answer questions and while there are bathrooms make sure you... More

Lily lake is a friendly little lake just off Highway 7, about 10km out of Estes Park. There's an easy path that runs along the shore, and a slightly more challenging one that climbs along the rocks and elevations Northwest of the lake - but even this more difficult path is still do-able for families with kids. Going around the... More

Get away from the crowds a bit, not too hard of a hike, still busy, but I would suggest it if you're there.
