This is a must drive for everyone once in your life. Lots to see and do. Take a long day trip or much better take a few days or a week and have a blast. You'll see everything from beaches, to mountains, to lakes and also enjoy some great small towns.

If you like mountain views, beach access, quiet serenity, solitude, and beauty, this is it! The Olympic Peninsula has it all. No shopping centers, limited wi- fi, true peace and quiet and outdoor relaxation.

We did the drive all the way from Aberdeen to Forks and, though a great deal of it is on featureless roads through pine forest, the glimpses of the many beaches and the close inspection you can give many is reward enough. Particularly Kalaloch Beach is very pretty with its obligatory beach full of pine logs driven in by the... More

Great opportunity to see all the different scenery from beaches to rain forests to mountains, rivers, bays, and lots of interesting small communities. We travelled the loop in a counterclockwise direction. A bit boring from Quinault to Hood Canal but worth it. Glad we did the entire loop. Perfect for a 5 day trip with many many stops along the... We drove around the Olympic Peninsula as part of a family road trip. Took the Bainbridge Island ferry from Seattle (which is scenic in itself in the first place). Drove over to Port Angeles close to the entrance of the Park Loop drive and stayed overnight there. The drive up Hurricane Ridge road is memorable and the view from the... More

This is such a pretty drive! Mountains, rivers, lakes, spring flowers in bloom, lush greenery all around the mountains. Pretty even on a rainy day! Many Sight seeing outposts to visit along the route. Highly recommended.

Well, not real vampires. The loop will run you through the town of Forks, which is the setting for the Twilight series (and recovered, albeit it temporarily, from the down turn in logging by becoming a destination for thousands of vampire groupies), as well as along gorgeous beaches, through some of the most beautiful rain forests in the US. On... More

We did the loop one day, but a long day, after exploring the Hurricane Ridge our first day. From Sequim head west on 101 towards Port Angeles, great town on the Straits, then on around to Hoe Rain Forest towards Astoria on 101. Before Astoria, go east 101 to Olympia then back north to Sequim or Port Townsend, another great... More

We drove around this highway for nearly week and visited just about every sight there was to see. This is literally one of the most beautiful areas in the entire world. The sights, sounds, smells, and fabulous visual sights are unforgettable. We were also amazed there was a logging truck around every corner but that is OK. I buy a... More

The loop around Olympic National Park is very scenic with countless tyrnoffs and trails to tempt any traveler. Even though it can be done in one day, I would suggest 3-5 to really enjoy the area. You've come this far why not take the time to explore and get the nost out of your trip.
