The drive from Port Townsend on the peninsula was under two others and well worth the trip! It was raining on the way and sunny on the return so the views changed significantly. The destination was Lake Crescent and the Marymere Falls in the Olympic Park. the Loop was amazing and I can't wait to do it again.

I did it in a day and it was long. Scenic and pleasant to drive. Some beaches to stop at along way. Need to drive to see the rainforest which is definitely worth seeing. Can't do in a day if you want to stop at everything. I only wanted to see 2; Hurricane Ridge and the Hoh rainforest. It was... More

What an awesome trip we had! My husband, 23 year old son & I had doing the Loop Drive. We only had a 2 1/2 days but managed to see so much beauty! Mountains, rainforest, beautiful beaches, and found comfortable places to stay along the way!

It took us days to do the loop, if you want to do and see it all please plan on days. We did rainforest and beaches one day, then camped. Did rainforest and Forks and cape flattery the next day and camped. Did lake present and hurricane ridge the next day. If you have more time, take more hikes. I... More

If you like mountains, beaches and rainforest then this is the place where you can do a scenic drive and see them all and Visit Olympic National Park. The park has three personalities: rainforest, beaches with forest and mountains. You could spend a day at the HOH Rainforest or a day at Rialto Beach or drive to Hurricane Ridge. All... More

I had one day in Washington and I'm glad I drove around Olympic. First stop, Ruby Beach. Beautiful rocky landscape with little tide pools and towering rock formations. Second stop, Hoh Rainforest. Peaceful walk through what feels like a combination of Jurassic Park and THE Enchanted Forrest from any fairy tale. Last stop, Hurricane Ridge. Sweeping views of snow-capped mountains... More

Started in Tacoma and went all the way around the peninsula. Saw Canada and Forks all the way down to Ocean shores. To stop and see part of the Olympic National Forest I would suggest doing the loop in 2-3 days to allow time for seeing the sights and walking around taking in the beautiful nature Washington state offers.

This is a must drive for everyone once in your life. Lots to see and do. Take a long day trip or much better take a few days or a week and have a blast. You'll see everything from beaches, to mountains, to lakes and also enjoy some great small towns.

If you like mountain views, beach access, quiet serenity, solitude, and beauty, this is it! The Olympic Peninsula has it all. No shopping centers, limited wi- fi, true peace and quiet and outdoor relaxation.
